On the fifth anniversary of the attacks of September 11 we remember the great courage of the first responders of that fateful day. Today that courage is honored with your courageous and eloquent commenatry. When history records the day America finally woke up, I would not be surprised if there is some mention of a tenacious journalist who got it right and spoke for all of us. It may be an ironic sign of how upside down this world has turned when a lone sportscaster stands up to the corrupt and powerful and challenges a regime that is seemingly untouchable by the corporate media. We live in a time when integrity is punished and truth is vilified. Your courage and integrity mark you as a dangerous man to the current lords of our democracy. Have faith that when we prevail, your service will not be forgotten.

Thank you, Mr. Olbermann, for the most powerful and truthful tribute to 9/11 and its victims.

I lost a dear friend who was the keynote speaker at a conference that day in Windows on the World. I seethe whenever anyone, but most of all Bush and the Republicans, uses his and the others' deaths that day for political advantage.

I am appalled that two of America's icons--Disney and ABC--have betrayed the public's trust. I am appalled that Steve Jobs, who owns 7% of Disney, did not intervene. I am appalled that the executives at ABC and Disney who are responsible for "Path to 9/11" have not been fired and black balled.

I fear for the future of our country and I fear for the future of democracy.

That more people have not stood up and spoken the truth as you did in your 9/11 "Special Comment" bewilders me.

Thank you for having the courage to speak the truth and to call out the lies.

Thank you for your 9/11 commentary. You did an excellent job of summing up what 9/11 really meant and continues to mean, and contrasting that with the cynical manipulation we have seen from the current Federal administration and its apologists.

The reference to "The Monsters Are Due on Maple Street" was also perfectly on target.

Thanks for a few moments of sanity amid the lurid false patriotism witnessed on most television programs yesterday.

I confess I have watched your program only occasionally in the past, but I will tuning in regularly now. Keep up the good work.
