White House denies exploiting Sept 11

"WASHINGTON (AFP) - The White House rejected charges that US
President George W. Bush had exploited the fifth anniversary of the September 11 attacks for politician gain two months before key elections.

"The president took pains yesterday not to be partisan, and that was the appropriate thing to do. During the course of the day, there was no attempt to segregate between Democrats and Republicans," said spokesman Tony Snow."

3. For God's sake, they're like a bunch of four year olds.
Just like when you find a child standing next to a smashed vase and ask it, "did you break the vase?", BushCo will stand there with blood all over its hands, one arm elbow-deep in the cookie jar, stolen goods hanging out of every pocket, and say "no, it wasn't me." When pressed, they'll just deny the obvious in increasingly loud terms, believing that repeating something enough times makes it so. After awhile, when their repeated denials are still not believed, they get angry and throw a tantrum.

The only difference is that a four year old can be given a 'time out.' BushCo just keeps on rolling. Over all of us.

14. This was confirmed by one of his MBA teachers...
I forget his name, Japanese professor, who has written that while a student (if one can imagine such a thing) Bush would publicly deny having said something that he may have just said a few minutes earlier. And when his classmates called him on his pathological lies, he would go out of his way to sneak behind their backs and get them in trouble.

27. But Bush would look at you and tell you that the laws need to change
What infuriates the hell out of me is the fact that he can admit that he broke a law, then tell us that it needs to be changed so that his future actions are no longer illegal.

I wish Bill Clinton had used this tactic.

7. You can tell what's on their minds--what they plot in the back rooms--
not just by what they deny, but by how they deny it--for instance, what words they use...

"...no attempt to segregate between Democrats and Republicans...".

Return to the days of yesteryore, when the Nigras was segregated and "knew their place" and none of these wage workers and cannon fodder and democratic rabble dared to challenge their "betters" for a place at the Big Table.

No segregatin'. No way. We don't do no segregatin'. Heh-heh.

13. Partisan gain aside...

the President has demonstrated that he continues to exploit 9/11 for purposes of waging and continuing to promote an ILLEGAL war. This is an impeachable offense, not to mention an international WAR CRIME, and the sooner Republicans come around to understanding this the better.

17. Of course *ush denies, "exploiting 9/11" how can he exploit something
to us when he doesn't exploit it himself? It's hard to exploit the mind of a terrorist because we just don't understand where they are coming from.

Simple verb confusion - explain/ exploit ... it's just something he knows he is supposed to repeat a lot of times, but no one has explained/exploited to him what the difference is between the two terms. Facts and rational vs spin and propoganda are mighty confusing for a man in his position.

Famous quote goes somethig like this "It's hard to get a man to understand the truth when his job depends on not knowing anything about it."

Don't remember who came up with that one. Was it Mark Twain?

I thought Twain because he said something about how an honest man doesn't need a good memory like a liar does - to keep all his stories from tripping over one another.

Guilty Response? "I am not!"
