connection just increased in speed by a factor of at LEAST 10 a few minutes ago. I didn't change
anything, was just poking around DU and suddenly everything is going at light-speed! Hey, I'm not complaining, it's great, but how can this happen? WOW!!!!! I am not kidding...!

1. if you're using a cable modem

your cable company may have up their speed (mine did a few months ago out of the blue).

2. Not cable, it's "extended DSL". It was obviously a great improvement

over dial-up and I've been satisfied but all of a sudden the data rate just went astronomic a while ago. I have no idea what it is, but I ain't bitching! :D :D

edit: Maybe they did some kind of upgrade but we never were notified of it....but what a difference.

12. SBC just offered me a DSL service that's 2x faster than my

previous subscription and at 40% of the price. I'd called to cancel another feature and they, oh by the way, we see you are paying the old subscription rate -- would you like it for less cost and faster speed? I was pleased with the offer but kinda ticked that no one bothered to tell me I had been paying too much for well over a year.
