60 Bodies found Scattered around Baghdad. (but there's no civil war)

BAGHDAD, Iraq Sep 13, 2006 (AP)— Police said Wednesday that they had found 60 bodies dumped around Baghdad, the majority in predominantly Sunni Arab areas.

The bodies were found overnight, 45 in mostly Sunni parts of western Baghdad and the rest in majority Shiite areas of eastern Baghdad, police said.

All the bodies were bound, bore signs of torture and had been shot, police 1st Lt. Thayer Mahmoud said. Such killings are usually the work of sectarian death squads.

Meanwhile, violence killed at least two dozen people across Iraq on Tuesday, including six who died when a car bomb blew up in western Baghdad.

Of course every 'body' they've found has been tortured, since torture is now the presidentially preferred method of death.

Maybe bush ought to embark on another series of speeches, cause things are not going too freaking swimmingly.

300,000+ dead iraqis at the hands of the US troops is indeed a genocide.

Much as the GOP DEMANDS and wants this to be 'a civil war' it's not. It's the clamping down and horrific atrocities committed by a totalitarian, radical, fundemental, hard line islamic regime installed by none other than george bush and the republicans.

You see, calling it a civil war blames the Iraqis.

The iraqis are NOT to blame for this, so we must make sure the responsibility for ALL the atrocities in iraq remains squarely in the blood-stained hands of the bush regime.

And painfully simplistic. Does BushCo bear responsibility for every death since the invasion? Damn straight. WE TOLD THEM THIS WOULD HAPPEN. They invaded anyway.

HOWEVER, it is seriously delusional in the most Bushlike manner to believe that civil war was NOT the automatic inevitable outcome of removing Saddam. Three groups of people with ancient animosities cobbled together in an unnatural nation? Please. We could have waited until the old guy croaked so that when the inevitable civil war began, we could at least have been honest brokers for peace. But no, we just weren't that bright.

And, frankly, I consider it outright racist not to give the Iraqis any responsibility for their own behavior. Way too much of that at DU.
