I'm going to be a touch-screen voting machine judge

There was a small ad in the St. Louis Post Dispatch this morning for "Touch Screen Judges Needed" on November 7th, so I thought..what the heck? I called the number of the St. Charles County Election Authority & signed up. At least maybe I can keep an eye on things to see if anything funny might be going on - although if there were, I doubt it would be obvious at the polling place.

I'm pretty sure the touch screen machines we have in St. Charles County also create a paper trail. From what I recall, there is only one touch screen device in each polling place; the remainder are optical scan ballots.

You get paid $20 for a 2 hour training session plus $120 for a 15-hour day at the polls (5am-8pm).
