bush: "History will look back on our time with unforgiving clarity"
"Fifty years from now, history will look back on our time with unforgiving clarity"...

bush...NY Times, 9 6 06

That's the kind of line that just knocks you on your ass when you read it, knowing bush said it, or read it off a teleprompter.

Fifty years from now? How about right fucking now? I do know that history looks back on many fascist states with unforgiving clarity from about 50 or 60 years ago.

This is one of those rare times when bush is actually saying something that is true without realizing it himself of course, history WILL see the the years of reagan, forty one and forty three in a very unforgiving light, and that light will shine on us too, with terrible clarity.

1. If we survive the next fifty years, folks will remember how insane Bushler
and his pseudo-religious wacko supporters were.

32. A hundred years from now...
Americans (if we are still Americans) will use the name George Bush as we currently use the name Benedict Arnold.

People all over the world will use the name Bush as a curse and an epithet for what he did in pushing global warming over the brink.

2. We can only hope..........
because if history is an impartial judge (the victors always write the history books however) George Bush will stand beside Hitler, Franco, Genghis Khan, Usama Bin Laden and a host of other misanthropes in the books. Worst....President....Ever.

5. the scary part
is when it's over people will call him the shittiest president ever, more books will come. then one day he will put out a memoir where he will suprisingly continue to not realize what a freaking idiot he is...and it will continue. I hope he is the worst president we have.

31. How could any president be worse?
I often want to ask a Bushbot, "Since you think everything Bush has done is so great, what would a bad president do?"

7. ...and conclude that GWB was the worst president we ever had.
Edited on Thu Sep-14-06 05:50 AM by Eugene
History will say that a fool and his unprincipled handlers
took this great country and trashed it beyond recognition.
I fear that history will also say that eight years of
Bushism unraveled a century of human progress around
the world.

9. Ya Notice How The Media Doesn't Mention the "Booosh" Legacy??
Seemed like when Clinton sneezed, it was wondered how that would "affect his legacy". Six years later, we know and the further we move away from those Halcyon days of the 90's, the better and better Clinton looks and the more trivial and partisan his inquisition was. Hopefully the first steps on the return to national santity will begin in 55 days.

Boooosh's "approval" ratings already leaves him in some select company...like Richard Nixon and Warren Harding. He's not too far from reaching the U.S. Grant and Millard Filmore levels of both corruption and mundacity.

You can already see his legacy in the faces of those who will write that history. Doug Brinkley sure won't give this asshat a pass on Katrina and Iraq will be forever known as "booosh's war". The massive propaganda and psy-ops works of the Repugnicans and this regime...which we just see the tip of the iceburg now...will be put on the history shelf next to the Red Scare and McCarthyism as some of the darkest moments in the freedom of expression in this country.

I've long found the ironies in the rhetorical blatherings of this idjit. Of course he doesn't write them...just reads 'em and thinks they sound pretty good. The kool-aid drinkers are all he cares about right now...and he'll say whatever it takes...to cajole, scare and bully them to the polls.

10. Most of us....
.... don't need 50 years to see what is right in front of our faces now.

Bush is merely trying to say "you'll thank me later". He's full of shit, more self-aggrandizement and self-delusion. He's trying to convince himself that for the first time in his life he didn't screw up. That he really did one-up his daddy. In his heart of hearts, he probably realizes that he's is, was and always will be a loser, and now his loser judgement has cost America and the world incalculably.

50 years. Only a drooling moron cannot already see what an utter mistake going into Iraq was.

23. "History, we don't know. We'll all be dead."
Bu$h quote according to Bob Woodward

~snip~

After the second interview with him on Dec. 11, we got up and walked over to one of the doors. There are all of these doors in the Oval Office that lead outside. And he had his hands in his pocket, and I just asked, ‘Well, how is history likely to judge your Iraq war,’” says Woodward.

“And he said, ‘History,’ and then he took his hands out of his pocket and kind of shrugged and extended his hands as if this is a way off. And then he said, ‘History, we don’t know. We’ll all be dead.’”

26. Bush and his GOP is LOOKING LIKE SHIT, Gonna LOOK LIKE SHIT
and will go down in History as SHIT

The TRUTH CANNOT BE SPUN

The EVIDENCE IS HERE FOR ALL TO SEE and REMEMBER/RECORD

The Truth show Bush as a Remarkable Dismal Failure of the Highest Order.

He and his GOP Violate the Constitution, the Ethics of their own GOP Party, and Our American Society in General.

The GOP does not care for the Common Masses, dats us guys, and the record clearly shows.

The GOP are Bad News.
