relating to torture, and making it legal, and changing the text of the Geneva Conventions, in congress right now. Which is why she is talking about it.

Today, 4 republicans actually went against Bush and voted on legislation that does not give the government the ability to try people without the person being tried being allowed to know what the evidence against him was. This is big stuff, if you follow congress at all.

I for one, and glad she is talking about it. It could not be more current.

The media isn't covering it they keep talking about Bush poll numbers going up and the republicans are getting ready to have a major negative campaign blitz against the Dem's you see it already thats what we should be talking about. the american people are dumb as hell they could care least about torture and when these negative adds start they will believe them. the problem with the Dem's is they always let the repubs define them.

I think that violating the constitution and the Geneva Conventions just because it's politically expedient to do so is pretty pertinent to the November elections. And where candidates for election stand on that issue and that question goes a long way toward answering whether they stand with the people of the United States or the little emperor and his delusions of grandeur.

Bush met with congress today to pass his torture bill and to make it retroactive. Retroactive to make his prior crimes legal. This is so important to be talking about even though you may not realize it.

And even if it wasn't about this new bill, please remember anything that we declare legal for enemy combatants will be legal for our service people. Is that okay by you?

Court's decision against his illegal torturing. It's happening RIGHT NOW.

22. BushCo is currently trying to get Congress to change

the Geneva Conventions with regard to Section 3, i.e., torture.

Not old news.

He's also trying to establish military tribunals where the defendants don't get to see the evidence against them, that evidence obtained by torture will be admissible, and that he can wiretap Americans without a warrant and that all his past illegal activity will become retroactively legal. All this IMO because he fears a Democratic House in November impeaching his sorry ass.
