Tormenting my pet republican
I have not abused this poor boy for a while, so I send him an email and it took two days for him to come up with a response, but now I have him fired up.

I started with:
div class="excerpt"]Amount to investigate Clinton/Monica scandal: $100M
Amount spent on 9/11 investigation: $14M

Two days later I get:
I agree - way too much was spent investigating the obvious : Clinton was a wife-cheater and a liar under oath. Why did it take $100 million to figure that out ???

Of course, under Bush, the investigation spending was far more efficient. It only took $14 million to figure out the obvious : Bush spent 6 months ignoring the terrorist threats after Clinton spent 8 years doing the same thing. Not much else to uncover, so the investigation bill for 9/11 was cheaper .

Of course, I needed to poke him back just to rile him up, and wrote:
All that money and all they could get him for was lying about a BJ. Surely there were more criminal things they could have prosecuting him for. You bu$kivites seem to blame Clinton for everything that has happened in the last 14 years yet with all the investigations that happened while he was president, all they could get him on was a extra marital affair?

Clinton lied over a killing a few thousand sperm, How many have died because of bu$h's lies?????????
Since the bu$h regime is not counting all the fatalities the unofficial reports are between 41986 46670 people

He did respond back with more talking points
Ah yes ! More undocumented Democrat death and dollar estimates ! Wow - "How many died because of Bush lies ???" When are you going to leave the 60's and realize this ain't Vietnam anymore and we have an enemy that is clear, vocal, and worldwide and has stated clearly that their intent is to destroy Israel and the United States and anyone else who they consider an "infidel" ? They attacked the WTC in the early 90's (Clinton did nothing), they attacked numerous embassies and Marine barracks (Clinton did nothing), they attacked the USS Cole (Clinton did nothing). BUT....... when Clinton was about to be impeached.......he declared that Iraq had weapons of mass destruction and tossed a couple bombs Sadaam's way ! Way to go Billy ! THAT sure taught the terrorist world a lesson ! In fact, the lesson from Bill was so strong that the terrorists meekly carried out the 9/11 attacks that they were busy planning during the 90's ! Of course, had Bill not been launching his own missile attacks on Monica's dress, maybe he would've noticed. But I doubt it. Doing the RIGHT thing to protect your country ( the president's 1st responsibility, by the way) is not always politically popular. And, as everyone knows, Clinton did not govern by making hard decisions - he governed by the polls. His most reliable tool was his finger which he used to test the direction the latest Gallup poll winds were blowing. Keep humming Kumbaya - I'm sure that will stop Hamas, Hezbollah, Al-Qaida, and that nutcase in Iran. Peace, love, dove, brother !

This guy drinks the kool aid and is one of the people that always votes against his own best interest regardless because some religious fundamental principle. These sheep are still abundant and still buying the bu$h shit by the bucket.

1. Our enemy is "clear?"
I think that's the problem with Republicans. Their definition of a "clear" enemy is, if they're dark and read a Koran, blow them to bits.

Next time I get invited to a right-wing relative's shin-dig, you're coming as my guest.

2. Remind him that of Clinton's
8 years in office, the last six left him completely handicapped with a Repuke congress--both House and Senate, so even when he had something he wanted to do, they wouldn't let him.

Another point of fact--Clinton was busy trying to get a Middle East accord agreement, and the chimp doesn't even know what the fuck detente is.

3. A couple of things:
First, you might want to point out to him that Clinton did do something after the 1993 WTC bombing: he caught the guys who did it and they will never walk free again.

Second, nothing Bush has done will stop Hamas, Hezbollah, Al-Quaida and that nutcase in Iran either if they decide to act.

Third, the President's "1st responsibility" is not to protect the country. It's to uphold the Constitution of the United States. I don't believe wars of choice are mentioned in that document. Then again, the Republicans only give lip service to the Constitution so he probably doesn't care about that anyway.

4. After all,
'it's just a g****m piece of paper.'

This stuff comes as no surprise. The mouth breathers live in an alternate dimension where everything is the polar opposite of reality. Gene pool depletion is my guess...

5. where has Bush's doing something got us?
. failed war in Afghanistan - Taliban are back, and more dangerous
. failed war in Iraq - total disaster - and Iran/Iraq now closer
. Al Qaeda was not in Iraq; now they are
. Al Qaeda has spread into more countries than they were in 90's
. terrorism incidents throughout the world have increased
. damaged military
. huge expense - $trillion

. Bush was given ample warning of 911 - but did nothing
(http://www.cooperativeresearch.org/timeline.jsp?timeline=complete_911_timeline&warning_signs:_specific_cases=foreignIntelligence)

. Clinton foiled the following:

. loss of credibility in the world
. awful economy (close to collapse) in the US

This administration will go down as the worst in history; Clinton's will be judged as one of the best.

6. The ignorance is palpable.
The 1993 WTC attack came 36 days into Clinton's first term, yet neither he nor his supporters blame Bush 41 for it. The 2001 WTC attack came 9 months into Bush 43's first term and it's all Bill's fault.

Bill Clinton did do something about the '93 WTC attack. He caught and punished the perpetrators as well as many others.

Bill Clinton prevented the downing of a dozen planes over the Atlantic (similar to the plot exposed by the British) and the 1999 Millennium attack on the West Coast.

There's so much more!

I don't mind blaming Clinton for what he did but dammit don't make stuff up!

7. Reason doesn't work
For this guy the Bush Presidency is a faith-based issue and faith is not usually susceptible to criticism or rational argument. You can't reason with him any more than you can reason with a committed Christian Dominionist or a Muslim theocrat. Not all Bush supporters are like this, but plenty are. While it might be entertaining and even enlightening in a scary sort of way to trade points with him you'll probably never change him.

8. Something to correct...
"...they attacked numerous embassies and Marine barracks..."

:wtf:

That "Marine barracks" was in Lebanon and Ronald Reagan was president, not the Mighty Clenis.

Remind your fuckwit friend that Ronnie cut-and-ran from Lebanon immediately thereafter.

Truth is like Kryptonite to these cultists. Watch him try to explain that away...
