Is Bush's lobbying for torture staged?

I watched Junior's press conference today, and I'm finding it hard
to believe that a pResident work so hard for torture--against his
own party with mid-term elections drawing near.

Why would the pResident lobby for such an outrageous, unpopular,
radical idea--that makes him look like a perverse freak?

Is it possible that this is all a set up to help Republican Congressional
members win look more moderate going into the 06 elections?

Is this staged to bolster Republican chances in 60--by visibly
demonstrating that Congressional Republicans are not a rubber
stamp for this pResident?

1. No, because only four Republicans voted for the measure...

that is far from the entire party. If anything it suggests how extreme their party is on this issue, that only four of them would vote to uphold the Geneva Conventions.

They gamed it so there would be 'just enough.' It's a common practice.

You figure out who can stand the heat, and they vote the way that is needed to produce the desired result.

The weaker people who need the RNC cash and fundraising for present or future campaigns go with the herd (and don't piss off the Monkey) so long as their vote doesn't make a difference.

I just watched more of the press conference and it's as if he's
coming unglued.

Possibly---Junior isn't staging this. Maybe McCain and his people
are. Maybe McCain decided he wouldn't be Bush's doormat any more
and he's putting his foot down.

That's probably what has agitated Junior so much. No one questions
the dictator.

Geez. If this is how the little fleeb acts--when someone dares to
express an opinion that contradicts his own---you have to imagine
that these lawmakers are under extreme pressure to capitulate.

He knows that if it does not happen in the next two weeks his agenda is screwed and he is desperately trying to scare the nation into push congress to pass his dangerous legislation.

This is total desperation on his part, if it does not work, expect attacks.

pre-planned..Just like some of these planted stories on the MSM..I just watched a grieving Mother that had lost a son and it certainly appeared that the Rove staff perhaps help get her story heard..
