this statement from * during today's press conference really touched a nerve in me.
Maybe it's just me, but how friggin callous and stupid can this man be?

On top of his 'audience' with the families who lost loved ones 5yrs ago in 9/11?? Yeah, Casey was a soldier, but the Emergency workers knew they had chosen a career that was also very dangerous. I was the wife of a firefighter for 15yrs- I understand -


I find it interesting that young democracies are being challenged by extremists. I also take great hope in the fact that, by far, the vast majority of people want normalcy and want peace, including in Iraq; that there is a deep desire for people to raise their children in a peaceful world; the desire for mothers to have the best for their child. And it's not -- there isn't -- you know, Americans -- you've got to understand, this is universal. And the idea of just saying, well, that's not important for us, to me, or the future of the country, it's just not acceptable.


If he understands the universal desire for 'mothers' to have the best for their child' how can he justify not having given her a REAL opportunity to speak her peace, and her grief to him???-

What about all this being responsible for your actions he was so full of today???
