VIDEO - Olbermann Thanks Fans For Emails, Letters, 800,000+ Downloads

Keith said tonight that over 800,000 people have downloaded the video of his Sept 11 Special Comment in addition to thousands of letters, emails and phone calls. He then re-aired the special comment but preceded it with the announcement that legislation that would have allowed admittance into a would be ground zero memorial for free was killed citing a $50 million per year price tag. After the comment, he reminds us that since his comments on Monday we have been told it is ‘unacceptable to think’, even if your the former Secretary of State. For the first time that I personally ever seen, he ended the show without his traditional ending from Edward R Murrow, “Good Night and Good Luck”.

CORRECTION - he DOES say Good Night and Good Luck at the very end, after plugging the late night rebroadcast. My mistake.

sorry, my bad. He paused so long after saying how long since the declaration of mission accomplished in Iraq that I guess I thought that was the end. In watching it again, I see he did in fact say it - although slowly

days since "Mission Accomplished" -- and then seemed upcut by his own voice forward promoing the repeats of his broadcast.

10. They're doing what they can...

to get their message & rebuttals out, but they're in the minority, and I guess you can't just walk on the set and demand equal time. The leadership has, however, written letters to the major news outlets asking for equal time.

We've got brave souls like Jack Murtha, John Kerry, Russ Feingold and others speaking out, but if you don't have C-Span, you wouldn't know it. I'm not coming down on you, but I hear this complaint so much it makes me wanna scream. We don't own the media.
