Any hope out there that Graham, Warner, McCain, etc. will do
he human thing - or - is this just another pretend position. Pretend they are thinking for themselves, but join the mob at the last minute. Coleman does it all the tme. Thune Graham does it all the time. Dems do it.

1. Powell is the difference here...
I think this is Powell's screw you to Bush. Powell just may be hanging Bush out to dry on this one. I hope they stick to their guns. We'll see what happens. I am beginning to wonder just how close to a military coup d'etat we really are...

I can only pray it's in time for the November elections. Past experience (and and sense of fate) tells me they'll cave for the sake of the party. The truth will have to come from an outside source.

and not humanity, not the citizens, not the planet.

I've just realized how stupendous this decision is. This is not just another decision that we can suffer 'for their party'.

The possibility that they would do this to us is enormously tragic.

I just hope that history will show that all the Democrats stood up to this inhumanity. Heroes for history.

But to make this political? We are not civilized?
