I look forward to bush's spectacular downfall.

I've watched several gigantic assholes get their rough justice in my life, Nixon for instance, his downfall from those lofty heights was spectacular to behold, the mightiest man on earth reduced to a pitiful and reviled figure of shame. What a spectacle it was.

bush started out poorly right out of the gate, under a cloud of suspicion and corruption, his polls plummeted, then, nine eleven, and he was Winston Churchill and Abe Lincoln rolled into one, now look at him, he looks worse than Nixon ever did.

What a difference a storm makes huh? And what a difference a clusterfuck in Iraq makes too huh?

Yesterday's pissy press conference is just more painful proof that this man is in the middle of a spectacular downfall, of Twilight Zonian proportions. It is painful and pleasing for me to watch, like a train wreck in slow mo, and that's the part I enjoy the most, when the villain gets his due.

1. and it's not just bush
Hah! How about a two-fer:

"Anyone who's had his photograph taken with Abramoff gets nervous when someone else pleads guilty. They're looking over their shoulders, they're calling their lawyers," said Los Angeles white collar defense attorney Michael J. Proctor.

2. Sign me up for front row seats
I want to see his complete and utter humiliation, his exposure, his shunning by decent people everywhere and his inability for lack of brains to explain his miserale ass. I've waited for this dammit!!!

4. I'm not sure which I would like better,
impeachment or war crimes court in the Hague. (Both would be great)

7. And Nixon died in his bed, never spent a day in prison, the US Media
did their very best to rehabilitate him, and he ended his days as a Republican "elder statesman".

6. I had a little rant on another thread
this one http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=view_all&address=364x2149375

but it applies here as well

He knows that he is guilty of war crimes
He knows he is out of his depth
He knows that as his Presidency draws closer to its end that his "supporters" will abandon him
He knows that Cheney and Rove would sell him out in an instant to cover their own butts
He knows he was responsible for the greatest peacetime loss of life in US history
He knows he is hated by the world - even those in countries nominally his allies

He knows that for the rest of his life he will be regarded as the biggest fraud and liar ever foisted upon the people of a great democratic country.

He knows he is a laughing stock

9. I only watched the press conference yesterday for one reason.
I was hoping that would be the day for his big meltdown. Almost happened, but not quite the cigar. Maybe next time we will see the real thing. What a great show that will be!!!
