LANCASTER, Wis. (AP) -- A judge on Friday dismissed charges of attempted sexual assault against three men accused of trying to dig up a woman's body to have sex with the corpse, noting that Wisconsin has no law against necrophilia.

The men still face lesser charges.

Twins Nicholas and Alexander Grunke, 20, and Dustin Radke, 20, were arrested after an alleged attempt to dig up the body of a 20-year-old woman who was killed Aug. 27 in a motorcycle crash. Officials said a caller reported suspicious activity in the cemetery Sept. 2, and deputies found someone had dug down to her vault.

Authorities said the three were not acquainted with the woman but had seen an obituary with her photo.

Circuit Judge George Curry said that while there was no law that addressed necrophilia, there was enough evidence to continue the case because of criminal damage to property and the alleged attempt to break into a burial vault.

It really doesn't matter what you and I think. It matters how our Criminology department looks at it when it comes to profiling. You get a serial crime, and chances are a professional profiler will come up with the description of a white man. Profiling, whether we like it or not, exists for both races and it is deeply entrenched in our Criminal Justice System. For example, you have Justice Scalia giving policemen the right to frisk black men on the sidewalk just for being in a designated high crime area. I suspect they can frisk white men for walking on the same sidewalk, but the catch is, that the designated high crime area is predominately composed of black people.

when I'm product hunting. When I posted to your comments, I was in the middle of such a consumer search. I certainly wasn't looking forward to searching information on a subject that was yours to flesh out in your response. As I stated, I don't challenge that they're black serial killers, but a little more work on your part would have been appreciated, though not necessary.

Also, I've found that the best articles come directly from the archive of old newspapers, and those don't come up with Google. Not readily. You usually just have to sift through blogs which talk about the subject and you're back to square one. Is it fact or opinion?

I'm dark skinned hispanic, and would you believe that my husband's right-wing family's idea of accepting me was to talk their racist crap openly in front of me, and when I protested by reminding them that I was hispanic, they said, "You're not hispanic, you're white."

Sometimes, racism is easy to spot. Sometimes, stereotyping becomes a necessary evil. For example, someone who isn't familiar with how Sociology works, might consider how a sociologist groups people, racist. And profiling in criminal justice walks that thin line every day.

The alleged perps evidently did not succeed in actually getting the corpse out of the vault before they were caught. Were these guys stupid enough to tell the cops that they intended to have sex with it? That would be pretty dumb, of course. But if they did not admit to it, how do the authorities know what their intentions were? :shrug:

but it is absurd to say Dahmer is revered in WI. He was sentenced to life, which is the most he could get there, for his crimes. He lasted less than one year in prison before he got killed. I wouldn't call that reverence.
