...right now. ALL of tornado alley lit up.
weather buffs check www.weatherunderground.com
is it just me or.......I guess the numbers of tornados in tornado alley haven't increased greatly, but around here they are coming earlier and staying later in the season, and they are of an intensity previously very rare around here...

1. We saw one of the worst storms ever in MInnesota in August. |
|
Softball size hail. I have lived here all my life and I've never seen anything like it. That's the size you usually see in Oklahoma and Kansas. We had $15,000 damage to our roof alone.

We live in Duluth, and we have had a hot summer (for Duluth.)
I heard it was going to be large hail in southern Minnesota, but I didn't know it was going to be that bad (!)

Like exploding bombs hitting the house. And now we're apparently in for it tonight again.
I love Duluth - we visit the North Shore whenever we can.
And welcome to DU!

8. Wow, this is happening tonight? We had a spot of rain this morning, |
|
but nothing that large.
Sorry!

I've never seen such a long, uninterrupted squall line with such intense rain. Approaching Manhattan Kansas. Better batten down the hatches!

7. Just finished talking to a friend in Lincoln, NE... |
|
about 20 minutes ago. He said they were about to be nailed. Typical guy... I had to make him get off the telephone and told him it might be wise to unplug his puter!

10. Remember when natural disasters happen to red states then its a trial |
|
from God, when it happens to blue states than its God punishing them for their sins. I know because Pat Robertson told me so and he's God's messenger.

11. i just have a hunch this involves global warming....patterns I lived |
|
...through all my life are changing...our winters have been comparatively much milder the last half-dozen years or so....we used to have rip-roaring winters with at least one or two big-time blizzards a month, followed by extreme cold....I'll take the hard winters if it means the global environment isn't going to hell...

Just waiting for them to take that promised SE turn. Not too far away, the clouds at sunset were amazing.
