* to speak and the UN this week.
Analysts: Bush's cowboy image waning; world still wary

WASHINGTON (AP) -- When President Bush addresses world leaders at the United Nations this week, he will have fewer options and lower expectations on almost every major foreign policy front than a year ago.

The United States is relying more readily on international institutions and alliances for help in Iran, Lebanon, North Korea, Sudan and elsewhere. Yet, according to analysts, the Bush administration has less room to maneuver.

Bush and his foreign policy advisers have tried with some success to dispel the caricature of Bush abroad as a Texas cowboy riding alone and herding the U.S. into an unpopular war in Iraq.

But the war, now in its fourth year, devours resources and energy for other global objectives and feeds mistrust about U.S. intentions, experts say.

9. Honestly...
...I think the fact that everyone already just takes it for granted, and knows that this is not going to end well for the chimp says one thing.

His handlers just don't give a fuck anymore. And why would they? they have pretty much set out to do everything they have accomplished since 2000. They took a booming robust economy with a huge surplus in the budget, dismantled it, sold it off piece by piece while putting the profits into their own greedy pockets. They ensured that laws were passed so that there will literally be an entire generation turned into wage slaves. They managed to build several permanent military bases bases in the Middle East thus ensuring their presence out there forever. They managed to make sure that the upper five percent in wealth never again have to actually pay taxes. Etcetera, etcetera, etcetera...

Why wouldn't they let him embarrass himself time and time again with absolute abandon? The WH rose garden meltdown, the meltdown on morning TV. They. Just. Don't. Care. Mission is accomplished, and they are most likely done with him. He seems to be nothing more than a fall guy for the PNAC Neo-cons that have been working behind the scenes.

It's sad for us when you think of it.

11. It's Just Another Political Commercial
This one uses the U.N. as a backdrop as opposed to Dunkin' Donuts or Home Depot or Jackson Square. It's just a setting...what's being said is, as always, aimed at a small and shrinking number of sheeple and die-hards. It's gonna be every talking point and catch phrase and the corporate media will chirp that "the preznit is taking it to the UN"...like he's cleaning up some bordello.

After all the acrimony and all that's been squandered by this asshat, what the hell can he say at the UN that anyone will take seriously? If anything, they'll be watching him like we do on the Daily Show or Letterman...waiting for what stupid thing he'll say or what embarassing faux pas will come out of his piehole.

This is a classic example of talking past people, not to them. The object is to paint the UN to be feared and play into the right wing meme that only asshat alone is capable of "winning the war on terra".

12. So we get to watch him "herd the US " into another
unpopular war in Iran in primetime and technicolor? Cause this shadow boxing is headed that direction. "Relying more readily on internatinoal institutions and alliances for help" my ass! It's a show till he gets done moving his toy soldiers around in the war room.

It never ceases to amaze me how ready people in the press appear to take this idiot at his word.
