Stephen Hadley re: Colin Powell: "I Think It Was The RIGHT Signal"
Unbelievable! On ABC This Week, Steph asked Hadley about Colin Powell's letter in which Powell said, "It would sent the wrong signal (to change Geneva Article 3). Hadley went on to say, "No, I think it was the RIGHT signal to send!"

Huh? The right signal to the world that we torture at will, hold prisoners in secret prisoners? Sodomize children?

What a jerk.

"right signal" by not wanting a change to Geneva Article 3?

Edit:

After reading about Stephen Hadley I take back my question. It is obvious he is behind Bush 100%.

2. In Colin Powell's letter, he said changing Geneva would send wrong signal.
Hadley disagreed, and said, "I think it sends the RIGHT signal!"

Meaning, America changing Geneva to suit us and torturing is sending the world the RIGHT signal - this is what Hadley believes.

Hadley. According to him and Bushco 'torture' is the right thing to do, but only the US can torture, it doesn't work both ways. I am very sad that our once great country is even considering torturing prisoners, many who may be innocent of anything.

12. If you are making the same B.S. argument that soldiers VOLUNTARILY
going through SERE school etc. who have the OPTION to end the "torture" in their training is in any way equivalent to using similar techniques on CAPTIVES, you are way off base.

Did you guys get this straight off of Limbaugh or something? I'm starting to see this more than once here.

8. Good morning your own self!
I'm afraid to get too optimistic, but you know where I'll be in November, along with everyone else, with breath held and hope in my heart!

11. Hadley is not, I presume, subject to his own proscription?
And he doesn't have any kids in a war zone? And nobody he knows is liable to be captured and tortured?

Easy to say for someone else, Mr. Hadley; are you willing to step up and get waterboarded for the team and show everyone just how benign it is? I'll bet you'd be crying and pissing yourself inside of five minutes, and would have confessed to the Zodiac murders within 10 minutes. Five bucks.
