Liddy isn't the savior she's often depicted as. In fact, she did things like have the Red Cross' AIDS prevention manual rewritten to suit the sensibilities of the religious right, installed a lot of her political friends onto a "special board" that managed to run off a lot of the ARC's pros, and assembled another "special team" whose members included George Will's (yes, the wingnut commentator's) wife.

She is NOT a nice person.
