Deal May Be in Works on Interrogations...
'WASHINGTON -- Despite professing confidence they can compromise, the president's national security aides and holdout Republican senators are not saying how they can reconcile deep differences over limits on CIA interrogations of suspected terrorists.

After a week of public sparring, both sides gave little evidence Sunday of how they might soften their position. As a result, it is unclear if Congress quickly can pass legislation authorizing aggressive methods against terrorist detainees, as President Bush wants.' http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2006/09/17/AR2006091700276.html

5. I expected nothing less.
The "resistors", these brave three republiclown Senators have all screwed us before after posturing exactly like this. Lindsey Graham is a sorry clown remember him from the Clinton impeachment spectacle, Specter is nothing more than a mealy mouthed wimp, and as for Mr. Straight Talker, what a misnomer...
