Just got back from Camp Democracy...
And I'm sad.

This the anniversary of the signing of the Constitution, and there was no crowd there. Maybe a 100 people all told.

How can we light this fire?

Does anyone care enough to actually do something?

:'(

1. On a positive note, hoot...
I was at SharonRB's house party for Dem Congressional Candidate Nancy Skinner for Oakland County and met a reformed repub. You hear so many stories second hand and to hear this man speak of his own switch from Repub to Dem gave me hope for us all today. The bright ones are turning...fast. :hi:

3. Dead heat right now. I think she's going to do it, barring any type
of voter fraud, but Oakland Co. is pretty tight on its voting. She's using the message that Knollenberg is a follower at a time when we most need leaders. She is AWESOME. She is the only candidate who has directly answered my questions regarding free trade.

4. You may want to find another stick by which to measure,...
,..."care" or "caring",...and touching or success.

You drew one hundred (I humbly try to impact one person at a time) and that one hundred will impact, at least ten-fold; then, those thousand will touch another ten-fold.

Let go. 'kay?

5. I drew no one.
Not one that I'm aware of, but my expectation was that I wouldn't draw anyone I've barely broken 100 signatures on the petition. The Camp's program drew about 100, several forums and panels on various aspects of organizing.

Yes, I know I need to let go, but it's so hard when you love your country so much and you see it rent asunder.

Thanks for the hugs, I'm in need right about now.

On a positive note, I have the seed of a new strategy planted that I hope to grow soon, so stay tuned.
