1. Some of them did, some didn't, some were indifferent
What is it about judging Muslims as a group. There are millions of them. Why is each one responsible for the views of the others?

2. Hyperbole? No but stating that their #1 Profit brough EVIL is a BIG No-No!
And for that, IMO Benedict should promptly resign.

3. I'm not sure about that
There's probably little we can do to get radical muslims to like us - but that's not the reason not to disparage another religion anyway, I wouldn't think. You don't attack another religion because you do not find it acceptable to attack others religious beliefs - it's uncharitable and unkind.

In general, doing good because you hope to get something out of the people you are doing good to is a mugs game.

6. The pope is just as insane as any other religious nut
So, whatever he says is really inconsequential to free-minded people.

9. It's a small group of extremely fundamentalist Muslims who have
such problems with us. Of course, after Fallujah, many more probably hate us. I've known a whole lot of Muslims, many quite religious ones, and yes, they loved me - would share their last slice of bread if I was hungry and had none - these may not qualify, however, as "the world's Muslims." The Pope needs to STFU and deal with is own $^!t.
