Is There A Chance That Bush Will Be Heckled Off UN Speaker's Platform??
There is a lot of world hatred for Bush represented in this body.

I do not think he would handle this very well.

Does anyone know if an incident like this has ever happened at the UN?

1. One would surely hope so. I don't necessarily think they'd
heckle. More boo or walk out. That is what would happen in a perfect world.

It won't happen in this one.

4. I don't know if that's ever happened at the UN, I would be surprised
if it did, but he certainly has it coming to him. I think it would be great if he got booed off the platform, I'll bet he would turn bright red, and stomp off in a huff.

Then he'll go kick some poor defenseless animal, and tell Rumsfeld to kill a couple hundred more Iraqis. Nice guy that he is. :eyes:

6. They're government officials
They're not going to heckle anybody. They may represent world hatred, but I doubt any of the actual people sitting in those seats hate him. They probably wish they had his power.

9. As much as I would love to see that
I'm afraid the average Joe Blow would feel terrible our President was humiliated
by that terrible, good for nothing UN. Believe me, the American press would
spin it his way. His approval ratings would probably go up. (Sigh)

15. I love to watch him at the UN.
The last time I caught it he would stop at all the places that he expected applause and look around to a silent, stony faced audience. It was lovely. But I am so used to him looking stupid anymore that I doubt I even try to catch it.

17. I'd settle for a lot of empty seats and
from those in attendance, the silent treatment. I think that would shake the little boy much more than boos or heckling. Imagine just the US and British delegation applauding while everyone else sat on their hands.

If there are many diplomats there, we can hope that they remain quite and do not give shrub any recognition.

A mass walkout would be much more civilized and still make the point.

On the other hand, the MSM will just train the cameras on Dear Leader and never mention that anybody moved; FoxNews will reprot that as he began his speech the Assembly expressed their feelings toward him by standing up.

28. It Should Be Well Attended Since Iran's Ahmadinejad Speaks 2 hrs Later
I wonder if the MSM will cover the reception Iranian President Ahmadinejad receives from the UN body, and compares it with the reception Bush received.

It would be interesting to see Ahmadinejad show up unexpectedly just offstage from Bush, and try to engage Bush in a conversation.

32. I think it will be interesting to see the diplomats' reception of
the American Clown. I'm thinking they are as sick and tired of this asswipe as we are. I hope they all walk out - just imagine the visual on the C-Span.

Meanwhile, outside the UN building there is a protest planned. I know that initially permits were denied but later granted for the march. Anybody got any clue what size group is expected outside to boo the Chimp? I hope that at least Democracy Now and Comedy Central will cover it - don't expect the MSM to have the guts to show Chimpy's "welcoming party."

I sure as HELL hope the fucker gets heckled, harrassed, humiliated, and dissed at the United Nations.

It would be sweet if every delegate in the place stood up, turned their back, and then flipped him the bird while walking out on him.
