The first interview is a reporter talking about these groups, but the final interview is with one of the people who are pushing this crap onto the RW sheep, Texas evangelical preacher John Hagee, founder of "Christians United for Israel," a group very much supported by the Bush Cabal.

ON NOW!

Gershom Gorenberg on Christian Zionism

On today's show we look into the Christian Zionist movement, made up of evangelical Christians who see the rebirth of Israel as a prelude to the second coming of Christ. Journalist Gershom Gorenberg is former associate editor and columnist for The Jerusalem Report.

Max Blumenthal on Christian Zionism

Max Blumenthal is a Puffin Foundation writing fellow at the Nation Institute, based in Washington, D.C. His work has appeared in various publications, and he is a research fellow at Media Matters for America. He has written extensively about the conservative movement, and the Christian right. His recent article in The Nation is "Birth Pangs of a New Christian Zionism."

Christian Zionism: A Believer's Perspective

John Hagee is the founder of the Christian Zionist group, Christians United for Israel. He is the senior pastor of Cornerstone Church an evangelical church in San Antonio, Texas. He is also the author of a number of books; his most recent is Jerusalem Countdown: A Warning to the World.

1. Can't believe they give airtime to this psycho babble.
I like Terri Gross - but these people represent the likes of Rick Santorum and worse.

Religious bottom dwellers.

Another reason why NPR does not see my $$$.

2. Sorry, but I'm a firm believer in "know your enemy or foe," I'd much...

...rather learn about this guy in this controlled and edited setting, rather than subject myself to hours of this guy's ranting on T.V., or trying to read and figure out one of this guy's books on my own.

Terry is a great interviewer and she will ask the right questions to help me, and millions of others, understand how nutty this guy is without the worry of falling under his hypnotic spell.
