1. What report is she reading from? |
|
That scenario with the blood and the cross was just ... unspeakably awful.
But, then, it's UNACCEPTABLE to even THINK of comparing ourselves with the "evildoers" ...
(Shaking head, rolling eyes.)

2. the military and intelligence communities have ALWAYS done |
|
this kind of shit. even against citizens. but they at least had the decency to keep it secret from us. they revel in it and seem so proud and "in your face" about it now.

4. It's called intimidation. I'm increasingly convinced that they're |
|
mostly doing this for crowd control.
Our policymakers are terrorists.

everything they are doing in iraq and afghanistan is a test case for what they'd love to do to us here.
they are test marketing the efficacy, means, and methods of the future corporate monarchy this country is in danger of becoming (or might have already become).

6. Long U.S. tradition. Look at Pinochet, Guatemala, El Salvador |
|
Israel, Iran (both now and when it was fully supported by the U.S.)apartheid South Africa... all these nations used or use torture on a routine basis against popular movements not seen as favorable in the interests of the US elite. US did not hesitate to support these regimes.

7. Yeah - I totally was pureposely not listening to the Guitmo stories.. and |
|
the torture was much worse than I had assumed at the time. Pretty heart-breaking, horrifying, devastating.

9. When she read of what a FEMALE soldier did |
|
to a Gitmo detainee I wanted to :puke: Talk about psy-ops and culture war. So much for women being the kinder gentler gender, not that I ever believed that myth. Women can be just as brutal as men. Evil is not concentrated in one gender.
