Why doesn't Iran like the USA more?
Is it the Shah thing still? Wasn't that a long time ago?
OK, the CIA overthrew their elected leader Mo somebody
and took a little of their oil but they had a lot of it
and that Shah guy was he really that bad?
Is it the Iran-Iraq War thing still?
OK, we helped that other guy Sam whatever his name was, but
don't forget Reagan helped Iran too in there somewhere also.
So why doesn't Iran like and trust the USA more? It must
be our way of life. It must be our way of life.

7. they do
The people are favorably disposed towards Americans, I'm told. Most Iranians were born after the Revolution. I'm sure they don't like life under the Mullahs and would welcome change.

As for the theocratic government, it sees the USA as the great crusader state that must be made to bow down before Allah. And after nearly 30 years, it still hasn't.

8. Perhaps, unlike
we Americans...the Iranians still remember the effects of bio weapons used on their people that Saddam inherited from Rumsfield and Reagan. I wonder if that little bit of history might have something to do with it.

9. It certainly wasn't because of the CIA supported death squads
in the form of SAVAK.

11. Thank you
for the memory refresh...had forgotten the acronym. SAVAK, now there's a program that would endear even the most reluctant Iranian to America.

12. Just look at what happened in Lebanon.
How could any leader in an islamic majority state support the us after bush up graded the cluster bombs from parcel post to fed ex, while the cease fire was being negotiated, except of course those who never face elections.

four times the cost of the apollo mission, that is what we have given to israel. they have used it in a similar way their former friends in south africa used their money.

the iranian president asked very clearly, what is the Palestinians responsibility for the holocaust?

I too would like to know.
