I decided I can target my protests and hopefully change their ways. nt
I'm so glad I found a rationale while I was setting my TiVo!

1. Sorry guys, I watched BL tonight, and I'll even admit, I'll watch
Desperate Houswives on Sunday night too.

That's IT! I stopped watching Nightline, and the ABC News. Somehow, I doubt the network is going to survive with only two shows.

4. Can you watch the show, and refuse to patronize the sponsors?
I haven't got a clue; I don't care for TV dramas.

5. Watch your show if you like it.
Dont't punish the people who appear in and make the show...they aren't the network.
I hate anything FOX, but I gave in when it came to X-Files and House sometimes....

6. I say watch it - unless you're a Nielsen house
And if that's the case, you could always d/l it off one of the torrent sites. Also, I hate to punish a great show like Boston Legal just cause of the idiot suits at ABC.

8. so much for principles?
I don't watch ABC anyway - but I do seem to recall a large amount of bellowing about boycott. If you said you were going to boycott -- do it!

This is not meant as a dig at anyone in particular -- but aren't we trying to make a POINT? "Oh, I'll boycott 22 hours a day, because I cannot miss {put your shows here} is NO boycott.

My opinion -- YMMV

10. It really doesn't make a difference
A disorganized boycott, which will have no effect on ratings and ad revenue is meaningless anyways.

After all, it's not as if ABC's sponsors don't advertise elsewhere.

Ultimately, I wouldn't worry about watching ABC (well, I only have one show I'll be watching next month- LOST) because I'm not in a Neilson household anyways. I heard however that ABC does get TIVO and DVR-record numbers so if you don't want their ratings helped, try watching the show over the air, or non-TIVOed.

Or the best way - d/l it on torrents. HAHAHA, no ads whatsoever and pretty good quality (much better than SD anyways).

11. I watched it. This kind of "boycott" is bullshit...
and I see no reason to avoid a show I like when it will have absolutely no effect on ABC, their sponsors, or the assholes who made one movie that pissed a lot of people off. If I didn't watch, I would be the one "losing," not the network, so what would be the point besides some vague feeling of moral superiority.

Besides, isn't this Parker Posey's last episode?
