Question on torture by U.S.

Does anyone know exactly what this country has done by way of torture? I heard an opinion piece on Arkansas Public Radio this morning that listed some things, but I can't seem to find what has been proven/documented. I cannot believe that this is my country, the country I love.

When I go to meetings now, I no longer salute the flag.

1. I hear ya, Abby. I'm going to do some checking on that documentation

of torture by U.S. "entities" of all kinds and see what I come up with.

I've long since had to hugely reduce the number and size and positioning of any U.S. flags I continue to display around my place. Nothing in the yard except a couple of six-inchers in the flowerbed where few people see them. Nothing on my car. Only one small flag in my house, and few people visit me because I live in such a tiny place (motorhome).

I was raised a patriotic daughter of WWII-era parents, combat-wounded dad and Rosie-riveter mom, who taught me how great the United States of by-gawd America is and how much I should love her and her flag. It's been a mighty tough transition to someone who doesn't want to display Old Glory on my car or in my yard or anywhere where I could be mistaken for a Chimp supporter just by the fact that I'm showing a flag of my country.

One of the many brazillion reasons why I loathe and despise this administration and what they've done to OUR country....

4. "I no longer salute the flag"

I do as far as the flag representing America, not necessarily the flag itself as an idol. I think you mean the same thing too. It's still my flag/country and I want it back. Just because a corrupt administration doesn't want you to think it's yours anymore, that it belongs only to them shouldn't make you feel the way you do friend.

I'm not criticizing your choice, I even support it if it is still your choice but your flag/country, me, us, still need you :patriot:
