Go to Democrats.com, answer a few questions and they will check to see if your voter registration is purge-free! http://mydem.democrats.com/

3. If any of your information is old or.....
If any of your information is old, inaccurate or in my case, very similar to someone else with the same name, you could be purged. Democrats.com is a safe site. (I don't know how to prove that; I guess you'll have to trust me). It's just another precaution to take (like voting by mail) to try to assure that your vote will be counted.

4. I checked mine
by going to my county's board of election web site. Just another option...I don't know if all counties are set up the same.

5. Your best chance at getting to vote is to GO to the registrar's
office and verify it there..ask for a print-out, and tuck it into your wallet..

One thing I liked about living in Indiana was that we had cards that said.. VOTER REGISTRATION on them, and on the back was a place to write any change of address.. If the address had changed, all you had to do was to bring any other document that verified the current written-in address..

This was in the 70's (pre-computers) and it worked like a charm..

We had a big parade every year, and during the parade, the League of Women Voters wandered through the crowds, registering people and handing out cards :)
