It's just so incredibly overwhelming. I try to put people back together again after serious accidents. It's rough work, knowing that many of the smaller things we can't address for years, if the patient lives, are of just as much importance as reattaching a limb or sewing their organs back in. Support for ongoing and comprehensive rehabilitation for anything (accidents, substance abuse, exposure to toxins) is a curve with a rapidly down wards descending slope by week 12. Every effort by Republicans has been to make resources for rehabilitation or chronic illness or aging unavailable, including to those men and women who were injured representing this country in uniform.
I find it inconceivable that any American would conceive of injured, sick or aging people as a "drag" on an entitlement system or a burden to potential economic growth. These pictures are of no hope, of damage that can't ever be palliated let alone fixed. A whole family, or even village, is damaged and debilitated for generations. The pictures are of human initiated violence and evil. If you had pictures that demonstrated the real effect of the gutting and slashing of programs for the elderly or poor or young or ill or hungry you would be able to compile a video almost the same as the one you presented. What you might have to wait a few months, or years for are the extremes of conditions resulting from that attack.
Sadly, you would also not be able to photograph the twisted and deformed and lapsed treatment victims in the US because they are too tired and beaten down to mention they need help, and many are also too proud to be treated as someone deserving of help. The first time at the disability office or a Social Security center will ensure that they get the point that even the most compassionate don't want to actually have to see the ravages or consequences of neglect or illness or age or violence. Maybe if Americans were exposed to more visuals - Katrina was the most recent. Of course some companies and criminals figured out a way to make money off the damage and suffering - they would be less inclined to carelessly cause or support that violence or neglect.
But the slope of the curve of both compassion and memory turns downward very, very quickly when a politician or a media source has something new or something else they would rather have people focusing on. Bad intentions or incompetence, Republicans have to go. Console or kid yourself with the fact that you believe that Democrats are probably the lesser of two evils, but history is pretty clear - which is why anyone watching ABC should be ashamed of their fleeting, dilettantish commitment to actually taking a stand against this crap - and the current crop of Republicans will leave a very ugly legacy of being incredibly poor leaders unable to handle anything other than the ego-thrill of being in office. Responsibility and accountability are not concepts they will accept.
