that right.
The Bush crowd's true nature was far more dangerous and demonic than the Kerry campaign was willing to believe. If only the Kerry campaign had fought back like they saw a devil in the house, the swift-boat lies and other Bush/Rove devilish machinations would have failed.

1. You'd think the Democrats would learn by now |
|
Being a "moderate" does not win votes. The Republicans act batshit insane and it gets them everywhere. The Dems need to provide a constructive alternative.

6. I'm tempted to say we need a batshit insane alternative. |
|
I'm kidding. But just a little. It sure does seem like an awful lot of people interpret "batshit insane" as "strong convictions".

2. I think that Kerry did say they were corrupt and liars but if he had |
|
called Bush a "devil" like Chavez did--the backlash would have been loud and bi-partisan. Many of us on DU may think that Bush is the second coming of Satan but the American people as a whole would reject that kind of campaigning by another leading candidate for the presidency. It would have backfired in his face. That said I do think Kerry could have made a stronger case about the corruption and lies of this administration.

3. Not "Devil" but something similar in our culture |
|
Chavez saying "Devil" means something different in his culture. Our equivalent would be corrupt bully or something.

You know, if Kerry had lived in my neighborhood in the years prior to 2004, he would have had all the education he needed to know how to fight against Republicans. If you've got the lawyers, use them. It's that simple.

7. Kerry was elected president. Read Freeman's book about it. |
|
He uses exit polls and a lot of other sources to conclude that Kerry won by at least 5% and probably more. Freeman's calculations are almost certainly more accurate than the alleged vote count delivered from Diebold, et al.

8. EXACTLY! But Kerry did not take the White House because they |
|
did not appreciated the devilish capacities of the Bush crowd.
