NEW RFK JR. ARTICLE TO EXPLORE IF 2006 ELECTION CAN BE HACKED!

New RFK Jr. article will explore if 2006 election can be hacked

RAW STORY
Published: Thursday September 21, 2006

In the upcoming issue of Rolling Stone, environmental lawyer Robert F. Kennedy Jr., along with award-winning writer Dick Russell, deepens his investigation into America's electoral process, according to a press release received by RAW STORY.

In the article, Kennedy interviews former Diebold consultant, Chris Hood, who "reveals to what extent our right to vote is at risk."

Excerpts from article which will be online tomorrow at Rollingstone.com:
http://rollingstone.com/

Chris Hood remembers the day in August 2002 that he began to question what was really going on in Georgia. An African-American whose parents fought for voting rights in the South during the 1960s, Hood was proud to be working as a consultant for Diebold Election Systems, helping the company promote its new electronic voting machines. During the presidential election two years earlier, more than 94,000 paper ballots had gone uncounted in Georgia – almost double the national average – and Secretary of State Cathy Cox was under pressure to make sure every vote was recorded properly.

....

In late July, to speed deployment of the new machines, Cox quietly signed an agreement with Diebold that effectively privatized Georgia’s entire electoral system. The company was authorized to put together ballots, program machines and train poll workers across the state – all without any official supervision. “We ran the election,” says Hood. “We had 356 people that Diebold brought into the state. Diebold opened and closed the polls and tabulated the votes. Diebold convinced Cox that it would be best if the company ran everything due to the time constraints, and in the interest of a trouble-free election, she let us do it.”

Then, one muggy day in mid-August, Hood was surprised to see the president of Diebold’s election unit, Bob Urosevich, arrive in Georgia from his headquarters in Texas. With the primaries looming, Urosevich was personally distributing a “patch,” a little piece of software designed to correct glitches in the computer program. “We were told that it was intended to fix the clock in the system, which it didn’t do,” Hood says. “The curious thing is the very swift, covert way this was done.”
..................

According to Hood, Diebold employees altered software in some 5,000 machines in DeKalb and Fulton counties – the state’s largest Democratic strongholds. To avoid detection, Hood and others on his team entered warehouses early in the morning. “We went in at 7:30 a.m. and were out by 11,” Hood says. “There was a universal key to unlock the machines, and it’s easy to get access. The machines in the warehouses were unlocked. We had control of everything. The state gave us the keys to the castle, so to speak, and they stayed out of our way.” Hood personally patched fifty-six machines and witnessed the patch being applied to more than 1,200 others.

Edited on Thu Sep-21-06 02:16 PM by blm
And Terry McAuliffe didn't think there was anything wrong with that, did he?

Let me guess - he blamed the governor, the senator, and 9-11, and ignored the signs of machine fraud?

25. But of Course
This really, really pisses me off about these Beltway Dems, their equivocation in the face of obvious, massive electroal fraud. How dare they? They have no right to do so under the Constitution.

Remember that little piece of paper guys?

Anyboday who buys the official spin that there couldn't possibly be fraud having occurred in the last eight years is a traitor, if you ask me.

That's my two cents.

votes to Guy Fawkes.

It's the only way to truly prove to these freaks that the election is stained and tainted with fraud and crime.

6. Pay Attention! Insiders will bring Diebold and others down.....
....all we need are a few Diebold workers like Mr. Hood, who still have a conscience and believe in their country, to come forward and tell where the bodies are buried. Same for ESS and the other electronic voting machine companies.

This will go down as a time when democracy was subverted, elections stolen, and amoral politicians made sure it happened.

Where are the others? If you want to live under a democracy you need to come forward while there is still time.

12. In what was a democracy, I submit it ceased being one in 2000.
As soon as the voters will was subverted, we lost the right to refer to our Government as a "Democracy". 2002 definitely ended it as this this testimony shows. We have been gamed by a bunch of determined crooks, whether they think they are doing this for the good of the Country (doubtful) or self enrichment (certainly, at the highest levels). These revelations add to my general sense of depression over the loss of our freedoms and my increasing certainty that we will never regain what we have had taken from us.

Homeland Security is all about suppressing the Citizenry, keeping the oligarchy safe from us, not from some nebulous foreign menace. I believe that will become increasingly apparent in the days ahead as the new crowd suppression technology is "tested" on domestic crowds fulfilling the Secretary of the Air Force's wet dream that all the Congress people deny any knowledge of.

Are drunk with power and asleep at the wheel of the vehicle that they are driving while intoxicated.

Time to pull them over, throw 'em in the back seat, and take them to the drunk tank for, oh, about ten years or so. Then see if they can win an election when real Democrats have been in office during that period.

It's time for (all of them) to go.

"what is the reason that RFK speaks with such a breathy quality? Did he have some kind of medical problem?"

It's explained in http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Robert_F._Kennedy,_Jr.">this Wikipedia article about him:
Kennedy currently co-hosts Ring of Fire on Air America Radio with Mike Papantonio, despite suffering from http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spasmodic_dysphonia">spasmodic dysphonia, a disorder that makes speech difficult and causes the voice to sound quavery and strangled.

enough to be swayed by the Max Cleland/Osama ads. In the same election the incumbent Dem Gov of Georgia had a double digit lead over his GOP opponent and the Governor did not have his picture taken with Osama! I think maybe the illegal patch "robgeorgia.zip" that was installed by Diebold employees somehow managed to turn that double digit lead around. And I think it did the same to the decorated war veteran Cleland, too. For the last 4 years, people in this country have assumed that people in Georgia are morons who will fall for stupid ads like the Cleland/Osama one. All they fell for was the promise of E-Voting.

41. One of my favorite quotes from article below ... Yet the Naysayers
maintain the'04 Presidential election was not heisted.. PLUULEEZZE, they need to get a clue...

Electronic voting machines also caused widespread problems in Florida, where Bush bested Kerry by 381,000 votes. When statistical experts from the University of California examined the state's official tally, they discovered a disturbing pattern: "The data show with 99.0 percent certainty that a county's use of electronic voting is associated with a disproportionate increase in votes for President Bush. Compared to counties with paper ballots, counties with electronic voting machines were significantly more likely to show increases in support for President Bush between 2000 and 2004." The three counties with the most discrepancies - Broward, Palm Beach and Miami-Dade - were also the most heavily Democratic. Electronic voting machines, the report concluded, may have improperly awarded as many as 260,000 votes to Bush. "No matter how many factors and variables we took into consideration, the significant correlation in the votes for President Bush and electronic voting cannot be explained," said Michael Hout, a member of the National Academy of Sciences.

Charles Stewart III, an MIT professor who specializes in voter behavior and methodology, was initially skeptical of the study - but was unable to find any flaw in the results. "You can't break it - I've tried," he told The Washington Post. "There's something funky in the results from the electronic-machine Democratic counties."

43. A little background info on family Urosevich
Edited on Thu Sep-21-06 11:21 PM by jen4clark
From Who's Counting -- The Companies Chapter, ES&S Section:

Todd Urosevich, current Vice President of aftermarket sales at ES&S, along with his brother Bob, was originally staked into the election business (Data Mark) by wealthy Republican supporters, the Ahmanson family. Howard Ahmanson, who had major holdings in ES&S since its earlier incarnation, then called “AIS”, is a Christian Reconstructionist who has stated in the Orange County Register his goal of instilling Biblical Law throughout America in place of current Constitutional Law. His openly advocated and radical plan for the theocratic takeover of America includes --death penalty for homosexuals, stoning of sinners, banning women from public office, and citizenship excluded for all non-Christians in America. Again, more than half of the Urosevich’s startup capital was funneled from the Ahmansons. (ESS- Ahmanson link)

McCarthy Company bought the Ahmanson’s shares out in 1987.

Let’s back up a step and trace the convoluted outline of the company’s history. A Texas election company-- “Cronus Industries”-- morphed into “Business Records Corp” or BRC. A former BRC owner was Carolyn Hunt, of the Hunt oil family, which provided start up money for the Council for National Policy / CNP. Some CNP members include Oliver North, former Klu Klux Klan member Richard Shoff, Major General John Singlaub, and other Iran-Contra notables, along with Reverend Jerry Falwell, Jesse Helms, Trent Lott, Ralph Reed, Jeffrey and Joseph Coors, Tim LaHaye, Paul Weyrich and Grover Norquist. BRC and three other companies were later purchased by AIS (American Information Systems) in 1997 to form--- ES&S.

Now Todd Urosevich, bankrolled with Ahmanson money, had started in the election equipment business in the 1980’s at Data Mark with his brother, programmer Bob Urosevich. (For added irony, the Urosevich brothers happen to be second generation Ukrainians...) For some time, Bob ran Diebold Election Systems (see below), the company often quoted along with Sequoia, as the number two in the field. In fact, Bob is one of the characters credited with oversight of Diebold’s original software development. Stay with me, because this is where the plot begins to thicken! When Bob Urosevich departed from ES&S and headed over to Diebold, he was replaced by, none other than...Chuck Hagel.

46. THE LAST STOLEN ELECTION FOR BUSH
I am so thankful to Mr. Kennedy for this very important deed. Bush and his merry gang of thugs are not going to allow Americans to have a fair election because he knows we will never vote for him as we did not all the other times.

That is why he keeps control of this lousy media so as they will tell us we did vote republican and you will never see any evidence other then what they say, just like all the other times.

Stealing elections is getting good to these clowns because that is the only way they will ever win an election

We just have to decide what the hell we will do about this if he again pulls this crap in Nov.

We are going to have to come to terms with the outcome of another stolen election because surely we cannot tolerate these thugs in office beyond that time

We have ever thing to lose if we allow these thugs to continue in office taking control of our money and our country and leaving our children with nothing as this crook will steal everything he can get his nasty ass hands on and then some.

We need to make Nov 7,2006 the end of the road for these thugs as we prepare our road trip to DC to clean house.

47. It won't change a thing
Until the masses actually give a flying fuck that they haven't been in control for over half a decade, it doesn't matter who screams what in whichever magazine they happen to scream it in. Surely we'll all feel upset, but nothing will actually happen.

Maybe the people deserve the government they have? The democrats sure as hell aren't doing anything to fix the situation, and are practically identical to the right-wing asshats on the other side.

A new revolution is the only way out, but no-one gives a shit. yay america.

52. Kicked (but unable to recommend - thread too old)
Great article!!!

Only circumstantial evidence leading to the conclusion that election fraud took place, but boy that's a LOT of very damaging circumstantial evidence.

I'm absolutely convinced that election fraud took place, and I'm certain that it will happen again this November. We need thousands of people watching, taking pictures, documenting what's happening, maybe there's hope that a smoking gun will appear and people like Urosevich will see prison time.

53. watched
some beltway pundits today on TV. Putting Chavez down...he
doesn't allow anything negative about him in Venuzuela's
MSM..Meanwhile back at the ranch...We have had 3 stolen
elections. Lou Dobbs, Keith Olberman and RFK Jr. have
addressed the subject. What does that make US. We have made
attempts to overthrow Chavez....tried to kill him.Pat
Robertson has called for his assasination... Kidnapped the
president of Haiti...I think Chavez's speech was right on
target. Chomsky's sky rocketing book sales proves WE are not
in agreement with the pundits.Don't usually watch the Sunday
news shows. Won't make that mistake again.
