The "torture sham" Another brilliant Rove set-up. Making Bush look good
while saving his ass from war crime charges and making the Dems look impotent and irrelevant. I have to give credit where credit is due. Another stroke of political genius.

1. Never grows stale
when the media keeps pouring on the air freshener of equivalence passivity and props for the administration. They can do ANYTHING and use that crimne for further benefit in a contradictory way only with this kind of blind(ing) support. It is modestly slick under the circumstances and plays to the pervasive weakness of thought, moral principles and social strength with the help of raw power and propaganda.

That isn't briliiance. It is a social disease with a a knife twisted into it.

2. Agreed, and John McCain is the worst sortof whore there is
Just saw him on the Today Show sucking Chimp ass and saying that the ACLU and other liberal groups don't want President Bush to be able to question terrorists at all. What a load of horseshit! How do these idiots get away with it? Before that, Meredith (Katie version 2.0 Beta) reported that "earlier this week, America's ENEMIES railed against George W. Bush at the UN" I didn't realize that they are America's enemies, only George W. Bush's enemies. I am sick of this AMERICA = BUSH and BUSH = AMERICA shit!

3. I don't see how approving torture makes anyone look good
no matter how you spin it.
Unless of course you're already an idiot, and I don't care if Bush looks good to idiots.

8. Actually I don' t think that is true.
I think if this question were asked directly most people would not agree.

"Do you support the routine use of torture to interrogate military prisoners?"

"Do you support indefinite detention of suspects without trial or charges in secret locations, and the routine use of torture against these suspects?"

"Do you support the execution of persons secretly detained and secretly tried by special tribunals where the evidence against them is not disclosed to the defendents and where the use of confessions obtained by torture is permitted?"

"Do you support the United States government unilaterally abolishing the Geneva Convention protections against the mistreatment of military prisoners?"

These questions are never asked.

6. Because they reframe it as 'questioning terrorists'
and the media plays along and our so-called leaders refuse to call bullshit on it. They cannot win their case with arguments based on truth and reason so instead they win with arguments based on lies and deception. By controlling the media and the leadership OF BOTH PARTIES they get away with it.

4. We deserve it for letting McCain fight our battles for us.
Harry Reid blew this one big-time.

While he was busy "watching them fight each other", they were busy setting him up to look like a major dumb-ass.
