DU need your help if you live near Navy or Air Force Bases
There are some report from people I know in the Military, that they are gearing up at these bases.
This could be a prelude to a air war on Iran. Bush has war power act behind him. He could Attack Iran. This just might be Rove's Oct Surprise. Keep a watch and email me if you see any thing that looks like a gear up. My Military Contacts in our Democratic offices need to know. Thanks

1. This week navy bases
throughout the country were conducting a security drill, stepping up the screening of those coming on base and doing more intense searching of damn near everything. Its labeled a routine event, but its only become routine in the past five years. Base public affairs were notifying locals that traffic could be major league fucked up around base gates. The event should end today. Don't know if there is any connection to what you have mentioned. I was on a Navy base last week (at CPO pinning ceremony) and there didn't seem to be any scuttlebutt of anything unusual in the planning stages (but I never worked intel.) I'm gonna meander to another base next week.

3. Be careful
...about posting troop movements on an open forum. The rethug operatives are everywhere. I know for a fact they take posts from this forum and send them to certain government agencies and rethug bloggers.Just be careful.

6. Posting troop movements is explicitly against DU rules.
This thread is going to get yanked.

7. It's against OPSECs as well and can get the person doing it in trouble
and with Bush in office...that trouble can get really ugly.

9. Here is the rule...
Do not post unpublished information on troop movements, military maneuvers, or any other information which may compromise US national security.

14. Roger that
Its usually a matter of local pride that the boys are being shipped out, all with front page stories about which units are going and to a general extent where.

You'd have to be an insider to divulge "troop movement" that the DOD doesn't want anyone to know about.

Its hard to hide the movement of a battalion of 700+ troops which are located in a base in the continental U.S.

Try hiding the movement of a carrier battle group pulling out in Norfolk or San Diego.

15. Furthermore...
those who know about "unpublished" troops movements already know what they can and cannot say, and where they can and cannot say it.

4. The October surprise is already in motion
It looks like we are preparing to either goad Iran into some sort of military action or strike them directly.

10. I work directly across the street from an air reserve base
and I haven't seen anything unusual. But, of course, I have no knowledge what is happening on the base. The only gear up signs I would notice would be an unusual amount of planes taking off and so far, all has been quiet.

11. They were shipping people out to Iraq this week
I know someone who was being shipped out. I don't know if it's to relieve the troops already there, or to back them up in action.

I think Karl Rove says things like his October Surprise comment just to get a rise out of us.

Still ongoing I think. The base is empty I know that much.
