My Nephew just signed up for the Army And I am Pissed
I kept telling him, wait until Bush is out of office
But he signed up anyway, and is leaving for basic in 2months.
Probably just in time for the Bush led invasion of Iran.
F, I am so pissed off right now.
I know military service is a good thing, as I was in the Air Force
But we have a maniac in the WhiteHouse and who knows what
is going to happen in the next year.........

Damn I am so F-IN Pissed off right now

1. Military service WAS a good thing
there is a lot of work to be done to restore lost honor.

Good luck to him, may he survive this administration.

3. I don't know what to say except I'm sorry, and I know just how you feel -
Mine just joined the Marines with a deferred enlistment (he's still in high school). He bought the whole line - "I just want you to be proud of me." I told him I'd be more proud if he'd had the balls to tell the recruiter to take a fucking hike.

My older son has a friend who's considering enlisting - I'm trying to track him down right now. I'm not sure how well this will go - I spend time a few months ago to try to get him to stay in college, but he gave up on that, went to his Mom's in Chicago, and just came back to no job.

I view this as one of the most important jobs I have as a mother - trying to keep my son and his friends alive and in one piece.
