What the heck is a cosmic electrician????? That apparently is her formal job function on the shuttle.

2. Where'd you hear that?
From what I know, her official title is "Mission Specialist" and she's a Mechanical Engineer.

She had worked in the EVA (Spacewalk) Office, so that was her specialty.

I'm sure the 'cosmic electrician' title is informal, rather than formal.

Piper, a 43-year-old from St. Paul, Minnesota, is a commander in the Navy and was a mission specialist and cosmic electrician aboard the shuttle.

She carried out two of the spacewalks, joining an elite club of only six other U.S. women and a single Russian woman who have made spacewalks.

4. I'm sure it's informal.
It's probably a reference about the work she did during her 2 EVA's, connecting cables, etc.

It's just something that CNN made up.

Second, all that's up there is a papier mache sky, God, Angels, and Jesus.

Science is just French for "Satan"!
