Deval Patrick is leading his Republican opponent by 63%-25% in Massachusetts. So much for all of the talk of the "Year of the Black Republican". Swann is losing in Pennsylvania, Steele is losing in Maryland, Blackwell is getting pistol-whipped in Ohio.

This is the year of the Black Democrat. The first elected black-Muslim congressman will be a Democrat in Minnesota, then there's Harold Ford Jr. winning out in Tennessee, and now Deval Patrick in Massachusetts.

I will give George W. Bush a passing grade of D on diversity, as he has shown the ability to find incompetent people of any race. That is one area where he is better than Reagan.

However, if you look in the Senate & House, the leadership is all white males - Frist, Santorum, McConnell in the Senate... Hastert, Boner, DeLay in the House.

Look at our leadership: Nancy Pelosi in the House... Charlie Rangel & John Conyers would head up two of the top committees. Barack Obama is a rising star in the Senate.
