A moment of clarity today while I was driving

I think there really isn't any way around it.
I think Hillary is going to be the candidate that is chosen to run.
Of course she won't be chosen by the grassroots, she will be chosen by the party elite.
Why else would Bill be EVERYWHERE all of the sudden, speaking out against Bush? And make no mistake, Bill is selling the Clinton name to the grassroots--trying to pull us in. The Daily Show, Olbermann, etc.
He hasn't done much of that at all until very recently.
Was there a deal brokered by B41 and Clinton?
Not really sure how I feel about it--I'd prefer a different kind of candidate personally, but I really feel in my gut that it will be Hillary.:(
I always thought Hillary pulled a lot of strings behind Bill...and maybe Bill will pull the same strings behind Hillary--we can always hope.

I don't understand your last sentence, "Hillary pulled a lot of strings behind Bill...and maybe Bill will pull the same strings behind Hillary", as it seems that you aren't too thrilled with the prospect of Hillary running, but hoping strings will be pulled to support her? Or perhaps I'm just perpetually confused, which is quite possible these days.

2. I think the decision has already been brokered

I mean when Bill was President--that I always felt Hillary had a heavy hand in it--hoping for the same if this comes to pass.

Hillary will be a HUGE mistake as far as I'm concerned unless she changes her tune about a lot of things (Iraq) really goddamned quick, like last year! Southern states? No, no and no.

...I wasn't overly impressed with Bill's answers on Countdown. They struck me as intentionally blunted and cryptic. There was none of the old fire there. It left me flat.

As far as Hillary being the candidate for '08, well...I have no enthusiasm, let's say that.

And they have to see that we will not just sit back and allow any candidate to be shoved down our throats anymore. Not after seeing that Dean was chosen for chair, which was not their first choice but rather forced on them because they knew their base wouldn't have it any other way.

I'm not ready to give up on the battle that the primaries will present. Not yet. Not by a long shot.
