Why would the Saudis tell the
French that Osama died of typhoid and not their buddy Bushie?
Who will help Bush with a tape prior to the elections?
Have we lost count of Osama deaths? Who is the new number two?

According to CNN, the Pakistanis say it isn't true. Damn this is funny.

For the answers to these and other pre-election crazy stories, listen carefully to Rethug spin.

1. I think I know why.
In a month or two there will be a major election. IF bin Laden is already dead, then it diffuses the Democratic candidates who are running on the "I'll do more to get bin Laden than the Republicans" platform. And IF the Democrats take over in 06, if they assume that he's already dead, maybe they'll stop looking for him?

2. That's why I wrote
watch the Rethug spin. We need to check out which French provincial paper carried this report and their connection to the French far right. There would have been serious credibility problems if Bushco or MSM first carried this, but 'eliminating Osama' before the last few weeks of the election is 'beyond useful' to Bushco.

7. Maybe this is Rove's October surprise?
Maybe he got the Saudis to spread this false information to knock the steam out of the sails from the Democratic opponents?

6. We don't know that Saudi's didn't tell Bush and US Gov't
Bush could have very well been told and then told the Saudi's to keep the news under wraps.

It appears to me that someone in the French gov't decided to get this "news" out to prevent the US Gov't from using the information to the US"s advantage.

Why else would the French Ministry instigate an investigation of how this information was leaked, which they deny is true.

Lot of convoluted information is being set forth, so yes, I must agree, let's watch the spin.

8. Indeed
This 'news' arrived just in time for those Sunday talk shows. Note he's not quite dead yet according to the Saudis so they can spin this for weeks and remove the Dems talking point re Osama.

11. just heard an interview with an expert on
ME- It was actually quite good-

HIS points?

Saudi "Intelligence" is sort of an oxymoron.

If bin laden IS dead his followers would not hesitate to declare that- REGARDLESS of how he died, he would be martyred having died in this jihad- And while they would mourn, they'd also have reason to ... (i can't remember his words) bond? come together in solidarity and strength???

Which leads me to the idea that maybe the French DID do us a favor- because if this were put out much closer to the elections people here in the US would likely react "in the moment"- and be inclined to vote impulsively ("see * DID get him"-) stupid? you bet- but not anything new.

Also, I believe bin ladens death is going to pump new energy into the violent Muslim fundamentalist movement.

One thing that disturbed me in the interview was the comment that it would take a body, or the bodies of several of OBL's closest advisor's to confirm his death-(to the US's satisfaction)

war without end, ah men, ahhh men.

14. CNN just said that US sources
say he is very sick but not dead. Hahahahahahha - this could be weeks of Osama just in time to kill the Dems talking point. Amazing how their souces knew nothing from September 4 to now.

How the fugg do they know so much so late, but don't know his location?
I swear Osama is a figment of Bushco's imagination. He has not been seen except in suspect tapes since 2002. Any bets they'll find some imaginary photo of a dead Osama before the election.

10. The Saudis are already cutting oil prices to nothing
so Bush can get a big boast in the polls, why wouldn't they help make up stories about Usama?

13. According to CNN
the Saudis are searching for a body. I can just hear El Diablo's he, he, he laugh. These fuggers will stop at nothing. Osama is too useful to the Dems in this election. Bye Osama.
