If Osama is dead we should declare VICTORY!
The war on terror is over. Bring the troops home. Mission accomplished. Parades in the streets.
Democrats should be jumping all over this as a way to end this "war" against a tactic.

1. That sounds like a plan, but reThuglicans will demand his head...
...be on a pole before they will accept that he is gone.

2. No. The war is over.
Time to get back to the business of the state:
Protecting the borders
Creating alternative fuels
Healthcare
Education

The war is over.

15. Which war is that? Iraq war where U.S. military deaths are now 2,700
...and climbing?

4. Are you kidding?
They'd be happy with a fragment of a tooth. And then have it destroyed or lost before analysis.

7. Wanting bin Laden dead isn't partisanable. If he's really dead, good. But
I kinda want to see a head on a pole too. I've heard this before and have no reason to think he's really gone and beyond the reach of justice.

5. He'll just be replaced
by a new homie. That's assuming he really is pushing up the daisys. They just gotta keep most folks scared shitless, and others like ourselves laughing their arses off, to be able to maintain some semblance of control over the population.

Next one will be called Sh'ffloff t'Buffalo whatever.

The war on terror is over! The USA is victorious!
Bring the troops home.

8. Don't think it will work.
There are plenty of terrorists out there beside Osama.

I think there are more effective methods of ending the war in Iraq than conflating it with the war on terror, or more specifically, on those terrorists inspired by a perverted vision of Islam.

10. My point is
since you cannot ever really WIN against an ideology, this is a chance to declare victory and bring the troops home.

13. Oh, I don't know.
Communism is pretty much dead, with only a few old fossils like Fidel hanging on.

My point is, and this is an observation of the current adminsitration, not my personal opinion, that bringing the troops home is not necessarily their goal. In other words, I think that they think the troops are available, why not use them for what they are deisigned for: fighting.

11. I agree and it should continue in spite of Rethug (inevitable) efforts
to make the latest number 2 into the new bogeyman. They have never succeeded in getting number 2 famous enough to inspire the fear they need to stay in power.

12. Bush doesn't want him found. He doesn't want his war on terra
to ever end. He wouldn't be able to control and torture if that happened.
