What's up with Protest Warrior? Their forum's been down for several days

at least. I go over there from time to time, because I'm masochistic and a glutton for self punishment. I find freeperland to be too boring, but PW has so many clinically certifiable whack jobs on it that it can be amusing. But alas, their forum is gone and has been gone for some time. Has PW gone the way of the dinosaur? Aww...too bad. I was actually hoping that one day they'd be able to surpass that magic number of getting 20 people to show up for one of their rallies. Oh well.

Better luck next time boys and girls, if you are in fact gone.

1. Hard to be angry at the people fighting for your economic survival

and your political rights. Maybe the collective dimbulbs are beginning to see the light.

2. Perhaps, or maybe their funding ran out

Call me crazy but I've always wondered how a couple of kids in their 20's could afford to travel all over the United States and protest anti-war marchers, run a massive website and host meetings in rather nice meeting rooms (watch some of their videos sometimes, you'll see what I mean), and do it all without holding down jobs. Their founders admitted that they were doing PW full time. All of this came from donations from members of a group that could never get more than 10 or 15 people to show up for their events? I tend to think not. Someone was funding them, and maybe their sugar daddy decided that the group was no longer useful.

3. It seems to be up and running

The first time I heard about them, was earlier this year, when my congressional candidate was getting a hatchet job from a reporter at the "liberal" St. Pete Times. We did a google on the reporter, and she popped up at Brown University Protest Warrior. And she went to work in Thailand on a Luce Scholarship. That's a right-wing foundation.

4. Their site is up and running

but their forum is down. Their site has looked the same for years now, it never changes. But the forum is where they all get together and experience mass hallucinations about Bush and his wars. It's gone. And it's been gone for some time now, which makes me think maybe it's not comin' back.
