Doesn't Osama's death (from natural causes, if true) hurt Bush?
Won't it be harder to convince Americans of the importance of the war on terror now he's dead?

How could this have been the planned October surprise?

1. Most people don't even know which one is Osama.
"Isn't he the guy who just called bush the devil?"

"Isn't he on trial in Israel?"

It's all about American Idol.

3. ugh.
I was coming to post that of course it does, because the only way we "get" Osama is through old age and illness, buttttttt the_casual_observer makes me realize - people don't really know the difference.

Just walk into walmart, the gas station, the dollar store, a pizza parlor, a barber shop - and look around and listen to people - we're a nation of people saying this "mcdonald's", "video games", "I wanna do her", "Paris wore WHAT!!!?" and "why is my wallet so empty, I don't know why things are so damn much!?"

People don't have the ability, desire, or complexity anymore to even ascertain the slightest understanding of what the hell is going on in our country. And the 30-40% of us who are trying, are split between 2 parties (mostly) and either have a compassionate heart or an angry one.

Sigh.... tco, why did you have to go and say the truth! lol..

5. you expressed what I think all the time
I don't understand how people are as tuned out and apolitical as they are...
Most of the people I know are completely apolitical and think about nothing but dating and video games and tv shows. They have vague leanings but thats about it.

I am so out of touch with most people around me. I keep seeing all these posts here about this RW relative or this Freeper DUers know...I am sure if I actually knew the people they are referring to I would feel different, but mostly-strange to say-I even envy them that they at least are talking to someone who thinks about these things -even if from a cracked out standpoint.

All the people I meet on a daily basis barely even register a world outside of their own personal one...:-|

if I was around you, we'd party (by reading the bill of rights, which I just did for the first time since high school over 15 years ago, yesterday) and talk about the insanity that is the *ush regime!

glad I made sense, and more so, that you think like I do.

4. I don't think so.

Dying on the run is good enough for most people. Heck, its even good enough for me as long as its confirmed with DNA.

Not that this is going to change my mind about Bush, but at least it would be over if he were dead even from natural causes.

9. The only thing I thought the rumor would do is eat more news days before
the election. If there really isn't any proof that he's dead, I'm curious to how long they can talk about this. All of next week maybe? Possibly longer? Osama's name keeps the sheeple mind on terror and 9/11. I'm not saying that we should ever let our guard down about terror or that we should totally forget the horrors of 9/11. I'm only stating the obvious to anyone who might be reading this, that keeping the news on anything terror related supposedly plays well for the Republicans. Or at least they will say that it does when all the exit polls turn out "flawed" again.
