YES, WE'RE CRAZY ANGRY
Run with this, Democrats. Get some backbone. Rail against the failures and the wrongs of this administration. Yes, the right-wing media will call you crazed. And you can say yes, we’re crazed. We’re crazy angry that we’ve been terrorized by our own government. We’re crazy angry that we’ve been lied to. We’re crazy angry that we’ve been treated as dupes and cannon fodder. We’re crazy angry that we’ve been squeezed dry for the benefit of the already wealthy.

YES, WE’RE CRAZY ANGRY, AND WE’RE NOT GOING TO TAKE IT ANY MORE!

From BuzzFlash.com:

Bombshell: Bush Will Request More Troops For Iraq, While National Intelligence Estimate Says Iraq Makes Terrorism Worse.

by Brent Budowsky

Democratic Leaders in the House and Senate should call for open public hearings and if necessary a secret session of the Congress to address urgent issues of concern to our troops, military families, military communities, security moms and all Americans concerned about our security...

First, we were told not long ago that there would be troop reductions towards the end of the year. Now we learn there was one set of troop increases in recent weeks, with another set of troop increases which is being kept secret until after the election.

Second, we not only learn of (a) National Intelligence Estimate that demonstrates a clear consensus throughout the intelligence community that the Iraq War has made the terrorist problem worse, but since this estimate was originally prepared in April, all of the recent statements to the contrary were simply untrue, and those who made them, knew it...

Democratic Leaders in the House and Senate should immediately call for hearings and if necessary a secret session of the Congress to determine the truth, the implications of the truth, and to make this election a referendum on the defining issue of our times.

Brent Budowsky served as Legislative Assistant to U.S. Senator Lloyd Bentsen, responsible for commerce and intelligence matters, including one of the core drafters of the CIA Identities Law. Served as Legislative Director to Congressman Bill Alexander, then Chief Deputy Whip, House of Representatives. Currently a member of the International Advisory Council of the Intelligence Summit. Left goverment in 1990 for marketing and public affairs business including major corporate entertainment and talent management. He can be reached at brentbbi@webtv.net.

From Unclaimed Territory, by Glenn Greenwald:

This report alone ought to dictate the outcome of the election

If I were shaping the Democrats' election strategy, I would create a television commercial where someone reads the following (paragraph) -- from a new report in the NYT today -- and then I would air it over and over and over every single day as much as possible until November 7:

A stark assessment of terrorism trends by American intelligence agencies has found that the American invasion and occupation of Iraq has helped spawn a new generation of Islamic radicalism and that the overall terrorist threat has grown since the Sept. 11 attacks…

So, a recap of the Iraq war: there were never any WMDs. The proliferation of government death squads and militias in Iraq means that, compared to the Saddam era, human rights have worsened and torture has increased to record levels. Iranian influence has massively increased, as a result of a Shiite fundamentalist government loyal to Tehran replacing the former anti-Iranian regime. We've squandered hundreds of billions of dollars and thousands of lives. And we have -- according to the consensus of our own intelligence community -- directly worsened the terrorist problem with our invasion, and continue to worsen it with our ongoing occupation...

1. After a while, one does begin to crack up.
And anger is a good motivation to vote.

4. Don't despair or give up hope for your own sake.
"If we live our lives continually motivated by anger and hatred, even our physical health deteriorates." -His Holiness the Dalai Lama

I realize this may be naive, but I believe it to be true.

Peace, Love, and Respect to all of my brothers and sisters. - Galileo

5. I notice that this new report on Iraq is not mentioned on cnn.com...
...nor on foxnews.com. Yet it's the lead story on msnbc.com and in many newspapers today. Hmm.

6. Perhaps You're Mad... But
The average Joe is just a little uneasy - somehow they think that they will be saved by magic of some sort.

The "Battlin' Congressional Dems" are extremely not mad. They go to nice functions where the Predator Class gives them lots of money, they occasionally make a little noise to the Press about the Rethugs being naughty, or make bold pronouncements like "Let's all help poor people" and they sleep comfortably in nice beds.
