Bill Frist on This Week
made me want to yell at my television! Considering the damage Dr. Frist and his cohorts have done to our economy, Constitution, civil liberties, and my personal sense of security and well-being (I definitely do NOT feel safer today than I did pre 9/11), he's got a lot of fucking gall to keep regurgitating the same old tired rhetoric his party has been spewing for the past 6 years!

I think what pissed me off the most (aside from his lame attacks of those on the Left side of the aisle)--he actually had the nerve to state that THE PRISONERS LOCKED UP IN GITMO CANNOT GET A TRIAL UNTIL THE BILL THUMBING ITS NOSE AT THE GENEVA CONVENTION IS PASSED. (my paraphrase, of course)

These motherfuckers have been holding and torturing so-called enemy combatants for YEARS without due process, and he's got the NERVE to twist the scenario to his purpose! It's unreal. I don't feel like I'm on the same planet, let alone the same country, as these liars and crooks. The people in power have taken the phrase "lack of integrity" to an entirely new level. Damn them...

1. was it something I said?
Haven't been on these boards in a while. Sometimes I feel too invisible here. But I've never had a thread tank as quickly as this one. Ouch...

3. thanks, spanone
I was so mad listening to asshole Frist spew his garbage, I needed an outlet. This is the first place I come to vent.

Put up a post and it sinks like a rock. "Was it something I said?"

I would respond to your point by saying that tired old rhetoric is all Frist and his cohorts have to fall back on. Nothing has gone right for them or their policies, so they just have to keep repeating the broken promises they made and the same excuses for why those promises have been broken.

Unless the GOP Leopard actually changes its spots, they are a one-hit wonder that keeps repreating the same old song.

6. I saw the Frist interview this morning, too
and felt the same way you did. The man was lying, and lying badly, and I wanted to throw my coffee cup at the TV. I can't believe these criminal bastards are getting away with destroying my country and its standing in the world. This is a dark time in America and the world.

7. We should show bush and the GOP the same compassion
they have shown to the people they have abused.

8. I'm sure host was all over him like a bad rash, right?
Or was George too busy servicing Frist under the table to listen to what was being said?
