My wife told me I think about the chimp* too much

She doesn't appreciate the danger we're in right now. I think most of the country is like her, they just aren't that concerned. Maybe I am a little extreme in my hatred of this cocksucker, his family, deadeye and his family and the rest of these people, but I don't believe so.
I tell her that this isn't an ordinary time and that these aren't ordinary people, they require watchfulness and deserve every grain of hate.
Sometimes it gets frustrating, knowing that were right on the edge and there are people close to me who could give a damn as long as they can watch tv things must be okay.
Does anyone else have a close family member that feels the same way?

but is it altering how you relate to her? Are you spending less time with her? I got the same remark from my wife about a year ago, and I cut back on my time here, and the on the cable news shows. Following the BFEE was consuming me, and I while I have not taken my eyes off of these bastards, I am doing things that I enjoy, and I do feel better.

I suppose I am. We went camping for a week--no TV, no Internet. I was much happier than I am at home without the distraction. I had hoped there would be some major anti-Bush development by the time we got back, but it seems to be same old stuff--except for the torture bill progressing through Congress. As far as husband goes, he thinks like I do, but I think he doesn't appreciate the time I spend "away" from him surfing the net.

my husband says" theres "nothing" you can do about it"......amd then says........people voted for bush and thats that...........his family and his boss are all strong republicans...........My husband is a registered Democrat....but don't know really how he votes.....
so I use the net when hes watching tv....or talking on phone or sleeping and working..........

Most people just want to live their lives. We exaggerate the danger posed by these buffoons quite a bit, and most of the so-called "sheeple" pick up on that hysteria and think it's over the top. DU is a strange crowd: everything gets intensified past the point that most folks would credit. So, I agree with your wife. There are other things in life.

18. Your post could have been my post. The inside joke around

here now is "Don't get me started!" whenever I go on a rant that usually falls on exasperated, un-caring ears. I even tried a tribal dance move while ranting just to get someone's attention.

but not my family ...My husband roots me on and tells me
to "go get 'em" :-) My son understands that my reading is
important for his and everyone's future . My son has become
an extremely good reader scored 2 grades above grade level
in his STAR testing last year :-) . My dad gave me my first
brand new computer for Christmas this last year telling me
"you are doing God's work so you need the best" :loveya:
Even my republican grandparents say they are proud of my
letters to the editor. They get the same local paper I write
to. :-)

I hope you are able to convey just how extremely important
this is to you . Let her know about your destiny and passions .
Let her know you sleep at night because of the hard work you
do fighting the bushco bastards. She'll understand . At the same
time be aware of her feelings and at parties or other gatherings
that aren't political spend time with her relaxing without the
"anti-bush" vibes . It's good to be away from it and take breaks.

I've been at it so long , it is now work to me at times . Breaks
have done me a world of good as well as my family .
