The media has been an active participant in the downfall of this country.
Torture, the imprisonment of children, censorship, propaganda, illegal wirtapping - where is their outrage? Why are most of them not speaking out?

Allowing Republican attacks and lies to flourish. IN many cases - they are the ones who manufacture the attacks and lies (Fox News/ABC). Publishing and trumpeting lies that they often know to be untrue. They don’t even bother to admit it when they have gone along with these untruths.

Look at all the untruths that they not only allowed to flourish about Al Gore in the 2000 election but also Kerry in 2004.

1. It Would Be Interesting To See If They Start Lies Or Just Report Them
Really, sometimes I wonder if much of the puppet media's reporting is more lies they have started and the Administration caught onto and mimicked or are lies originating in the Administration and parroted by the media. I wonder of anyone's bothered to check the original source on a lot of the bullshit you hear every single day.

5. "Independent World Television"
It's a news network planned to debut in one year without ads.

Please sign up to get emails from IWT.

The bigger their email list, the easier it will be for IWT to demonstrate an interest as it negotiates with cable companies.

7. Countdown. MSNBC. 8 ET weeknights. Be there. Aloha.
Listen to a man who DOES talk about the outrage. Listen to a man who DOES speak out. Listen to a man who contradicts the attacks and lies.

You'll find it refreshing.

10. They are complicit.
They want a lot of BIG stories that will fuel their 24-hour news cycles without having to dig for them. They like the Pugs because stories about bloodshed and failure attract a larger audience and higher ratings than stories about peace and prosperity.

12. Am reading The Greatest Story Ever Sold by Frank Rich
Edited on Sun Sep-24-06 11:15 PM by walldude
and it chronicles, from before 9/11 till now, the way the media has pretty much been a megaphone for the Bush administration. I know this is nothing new but to see it all laid out in chronological order from Shark Attacks to Jessica Lynch to WMD's...... I highly recommend this book

13. I'm reading it too...almost done...great read
honestly, this is a chronological list of all the bush admin lies and each time a lie is exposed he points out which papers (if any) report the exposure and on what page of the paper.

The media should be ashamed...but they are not. Sad.

14. Traitors To Democracy,
That's what I've been calling their sorry asses for a looong time.

The corporate media put Bunnypants into the White House and they also cheer-led this nation into the Iraq war. If that isn't traitorous, I don't know what is!!!
