Flashback: Chris Wallace says dad was senile for criticizing Bush
Edited on Sun Sep-24-06 05:42 PM by Herman Munster
The man is a turd.

Fox News Sunday" anchorman Chris Wallace says father Mike Wallace has "lost it" - after the legendary CBS newsman told the Boston Globe last week that the fact George Bush had been elected president shows America is "expletive-up." "He's lost it. The man has lost it. What can I say," the younger Wallace lamented to WRKO Boston radio host Howie Carr on Friday.

"He's 87-years old and things have set in," the Fox anchor continued. "I mean, we're going to have a competence hearing pretty soon."

On Thursday, the elder Wallace told the Boston Globe that if he had the chance to interview President Bush, he'd ask:

"What in the world prepared you to be the commander in chief of the largest superpower in the world? In your background, Mr. President, you apparently were incurious. You didn't want to travel. You knew very little about the military. . . . The governor of Texas doesn't have the kind of power that some governors have. . . . Why do you think they nominated you? . . . Do you think that has anything to do with the fact that the country is so expletive up?"

1. he and neil bush make the best example of sons falling far from the tree.
As does that reagan son (whose name escapes me)

I believe the Kennedys have also proved this concept a few times.

Chris is like one of those little brownshirt snitches who'd turn their own parents into the Gestapo.

3. Do you think Chris would have ever gotten the job he has
if his daddy wasn't who he was. The chinless little geek ought to shut up and be grateful for his dad because if he was Chris Smith he'd probably be a mall security guard today.

6. Wow, that's appalling, especially considering the family's loss
of another son. That sort of event usually makes family members more loyal and sensitive to one another. And so right, Chris Wallace owes everything he's gotten to the coattails of his dad. Absolutely pathetic.

9. Well, I guess I'm up for a competency hearing, too....
I would have asked the exact same thing, except I would have added, "...and you've failed at nearly everything you've done."

It sounds to me that Mike is sharper than his son. What an awful thing to say in public about your father...we're going to have a competency hearing soon. Shame on him.

10. Wonder if he realizes that all dissing his father does is to make HIM
look like a jerk. My sympathy to his father for such a son.

11. Yes, what they didn't tell you Chrissy is that
the competence hearing is for you. Interventions are always secret.

13. Credit for that goes to the late Ann Richards
That was a line she used at the Democratic National Convention about George H.W. Bush if I recall correctly. (Why can I remember things like that from years ago and yet forget what I ate for lunch yesterday?)

14. How did a guy like Mike Wallace manage to spawn
such a little turd?

I guess that competency hearing for his dad illustrates the regard little Chrissy has for freedom of speech. It's sort of like the old Soviet practice of putting people into mental hospitals for criticizing the regime, only this was his own flesh and blood.

I can't imagine the feelings of disappointment and betrayal his father must have towards him.:(
