13. Just met one in my thread about our protest yesterday
who claims to work in Indy news.

This from the link:
Liberal bloggers in New Hampshire busted an aide to Rep. Charles Bass (R-N.H.) who was posing as a liberal blogger on such blogs as Blue Granite, NH-02 Progressive and others. Bass’ office admitted culpability to HOH and said the staffer would be “appropriately disciplined.”

The unnamed aide to Bass — who, like many others in his party, faces a tough re-election fight — was routinely trolling liberal New Hampshire political blogs calling himself “IndyNH” and more commonly IndieNH, pretending to be a progressive.

3. * .... and the staffer will be appropriately disciplined.*

Not for the posts that were made but for being caught.

Cardinal sin for rethugs is to allow oneself to be caught.

4. You think this is new?
Anyone who starts off with "I used to be a Democrat/liberal/leftist, but.." can be dismissed immediately as a Freeptard, a poser, a paid flack.

That's been the case for the ten years I've been on the web.

9. It's certainly new that they're being traced
All I ever did with such pests is either ignore them or boot them. I saved the traces for threats, stalking, and other forms of harassment.

7. This politician may need some additional help....
Maybe, the blogosphere should offer a little help in the review of house rules regarding whether a violation has or has not been committed.
Wouldn't this leave the Rep and his staff more time for other things, or maybe innocently overlooking something?

(snip)
"Billings added that while the action was certainly a violation of office policy, “whether or not it was a violation of House rules and what disciplinary action is necessary or appropriate is under review.”
(end snip)

8. We have them here hiding behind post counts acquired in other forums
at DU If you don't think they do that then just read that story. Professionals getting paid to do psy-ops work.

This was not

" just a serious lapse of judgment," as his office implied. The incident follows a string of cases in which Capitol Hill aides have been caught modifying entries on Members in Wikipedia, the online encyclopedia."

14. "Not waste any more time...invest in other races..." Sounds familiar...
"The poseur had raised suspicions among liberal bloggers after he pooh-poohed a recent poll showing Bass tied with Hodes and suggested that Democrats should not waste any more time or money on the Hodes race and instead should invest their resources in other races."

I've seen posts like this on DU in regard to the Lieberman race. Any CT Repugs caught yet?

I don't know why this is such a shock though. I have long suspected some long time, high post count DUers of different agendas. Not just DC politics either.
