I saw a cartoon the other day here at DU. It had a married couple watching tv. The wife says to the husband, "ABC took some creative liberties when making this 9-11 docu-drama."

On the tv screen you see an airplane about to crash into the twin towers. Bill Clinton is the pilot.

(The Bill Clinton pictured is the chubby smiling Bill that we all know and love. He is looking back at the "camera" and smiling his 'aw, shucks, smile).

I also used that other "Steamboat Bobbie" one. I expect NO contrary responses, although I cordially welcome any.

It's a maritime union, and there's always an element of "jingoism" there. Perhaps they (subconsciously) feel that it's "good for shipping". I'm retired now, and have few if any hostages to reprisal from Big Brother. That INFURIATES some of them!
