Republicans are one big fat SCARED lot of people
and that also goes for the biggest scaredy-cat of all, George AWOLker Bush.

Republicans are afraid of just about everything you can think of.

By their own admission, they're afraid of confronting the terrorists face to face. They'd rather start a war in some far-away land, even if it involves sacrificing thousands of lives of our bravest American youth and countless more thousands of innocent civilians in another country...just to keep from confronting the big bad wolf THEMSELVES. They are so fucking scared of getting hurt that they're keeping the rest of us from solving the real threat of terrorism as it grows by the minute. As a result of their fear, when it comes to terrorism, Republicans are part of the cause, not the solution.

They're not just afraid to confront the terrorists themselves, either, but they're afraid of everything under the friggin sun. This is why Republicans are so expertise when it comes to invoking scare tactics on all their sheep, come election time.

As a group of people, Republicans are the biggest collective bunch of gutless pansies on the face of the planet.

2. You bring up a good point...
They always want guns out of fear of getting robbed or something.

5. and the example you just posted is yet another good one.
Guns: Like you said, they always want them because they're afraid of something, anything. There's no getting around it. There's one reason and one reason only: FEAR of something.

Taxes: They're scared shitless of having to pay a rightful amount of taxes that's so important to the infrastructure of our country.

Minorities: They're threatened to death that any kind of minority will have equal say in this country. Equality scares the shit out of them.

We could go on and on about what they're afraid of...

3. You hit the nail on the head
Every Republican I know is exactly like that!

This sentence of yours sums it up perfectly:

"They're not just afraid to confront the terrorists
themselves, either, but they're afraid of everything
under the friggin sun."

4. Frank Burns
on Mash, is really what I see as a typical republican. It is hard to know where to begin to list
the similarities. Just afraid all the time and happy to have what they consider lessor people protect them. Constantly talk about patriotism and how scary the enemy is...... I think they should just find a real life Frank Burns to run for office.

7. i haven't started Dean's book on authoritarian personalities
yet, but under all that bigotry, there is a streak of cowardice a mile wide and I'm dying to see how he talks about it.

It's true. These people fear democracy itself.

10. I'm about a third of the way through it
Forget about the terrorists. If we end up living in some sick TheoFascist twilight it'll be because we let it be imposed on us by our own people. It won't come from outside. You want to be scared, Dean's book will do the trick. But we have to understand these people if we are going to proctect ourselves.

And thanks for the welcome! Glad to be here :7
