Judge sentences former Enron CEO Fastow to six years
Edited on Tue Sep-26-06 12:44 PM by cal04
Ex-Enron CFO Fastow gets six years

Former Enron exec was expected to receive maximum of 10 years

Andrew Fastow, one of the key figures in Enron Corp.’s collapse, was sentenced to six years in prison Tuesday.

Fastow, Enron’s former chief financial officer, had agreed to serve a maximum 10-year term when he pleaded guilty in 2004.

His attorneys on Tuesday asked for a lesser sentence, citing Fastow’s admission of his guilt and his help in the federal government’s successful prosecution of Enron founder Kenneth Lay and the former chief executive, Jeffrey Skilling.

We need to clone Adebisi many times over for when the rest of the criminal cabal gets sent to the big house.

2. Sentenced? How long till he walks out on parole?
If anyone in this whole Enron debacle deserves to rot in prison it's Andrew Fastow, not to say that all blame lies on him. Only until he's ready to hear prison bars close behind him does actually realize he has done something wrong. Little prick.

9. 6 years translates to a "couple of years"

you can bet your last dollar that he will not serve 6 years.

Once he's shown marching into prison.. the furor will die down, and he will be out in a few..(with very little fanfare)

No doubt he's got brazillions stashed away...
His family will not be impoverished and on welfare while he does time.. his wife will not be working 3 shitty jobs just to put Kraft mac 'n cheese on the table..

Milkin is a prime example of how this works..

He was totally discredited, did some time, and is now making as much, if not more, that he did when he got caught..

These well-connected guys always land on their feet.

shed no tears for Andy
